I was looking at supercharging my 12a until i saw how much money would go in for relatively little power gains. The M90 was the one i sized up based on the volume. Maybe it will do for the 13b as well. Looked into the dimensions of the thing and had to get one with a small snout as the thing would have been longer than my engine.
Get a book called 'Supercharged!' by corky bell off amazon, about $40 delievered when i got it. Real good read,.
Don't know what happened to the site but rotahavik.co.nz had a guy who had supercharged his 20b, he was pretty on to it with this type of thing

You'll need a decent internet connection so look at it at work!

its a ke10 so its pretty small and light. No motor or interior so its just a shell. still in the process of finalising the deal with the owner.
Not sure where it is exactly, the guy hasnt been all too good with the communication

Hey, i need to get a car transported from tokoroa/Putaruru to wellington but am stuck in christchurch for a wee while
its rolling but its not running, if anyone can help me out that would be great
will compensate for fuel and time
cheers

holy crap

hey man those front rotors look nice and shiney. What are they off? they original ke10 items?
-
i dont know much about welding but i know that using a mig without gas i a bad idea
I think most have the ability to be both and you can hire a gas bottle from boc or similar pretty cheaply too.
-
this is a good point, i didnt realise this, im in the same position as cylinderhead...
anyone know anything?
-
i got me some of them steel sandwich mounts for $40 a pair from SAS. That was some super trade deal my dad managed to get me cause he's a regular.
-
mean, cheers for the tips. I cant wait to get this running, its been too long idle. 3 years in march...
-
Also reccomend a good brand of weld through primer cant give you the brand but the shit I got is awesome
= pa 10
so do i spray this on the bare metal then weld straight on top?
-
Mine is overlapped, just use seam sealer to keep moisture out combined with some good rust preventive paint like POR15. Its not really an area where you are likely to get a lot of moisture buildup.
Callum
so just take the contacting surfaces back to bare metal, weld as normal then spray the sealer then the primer?

hey ive just got my hands onto a tunnel out of a cefiro, its to replace the tunnel in my ke10 so that my gear box will fit nicely (as opposed to making on from scratch)
what's the best way to weld it in? butt welds or have it like a lap joint?
if i do a lap joint how do i prep it so that there isnt any mosture between the two contacting faces
-
would it be sacreligious if i rolled up in a ke20 to take a look at all the cortinas?
-
all car's dismantlers on maces road seem to be quite good. gave me a quote on a steering wheel that was 33% cheaper than everywhere else
-
just recently purchased some new parts
Guards from aus.
Still rusty but not as dented and warped
and new tail lights (in original packaging), the 30+ year old ones beside it to contrast
-
hey ive got some pretty nice chrome bumpers, came off a tt132 corona wagon, should look pretty good on yours. Except that one end cap aint so good and they're in chch...
-
been a long, long time since ive updated. havent done much, im pretty lazy.
at work got a new engine mount and brackets laser cut and bent to fit onto my new crossmemer
also bought a diff out of an old corona
have also bought a new pedal box, just waiting to be fitted and a remote shifter from an mx-5 to stick on my gearbox so that the shifter sits further forward than the original cosmo one. Have also got some brand new guard indicators
also have a sway bar on the way and have a series 4 turbo, manifold etc on the way too. next is to cut the tunnel and replace it with another.
-
yo, cheers for the props. I have a colour in mind, its kinda different, i would say but ive heard way too many stories off people telling mates about their big plans before puttin them into action and they end up looking like the copy cat. but its going to be good, and have some unique airbrushing courtesy of my brother. If anyone knows of anyone with guards, let me know, i need them in a big way, or else im going to have to become a panel beater. Not that theres anything wrong with that...
-
maybe but this aint him. I bought it off the guy who must have bought it off him
-
its a real long term project seeing as im as poor as can be and i have to split my time between wellington and chch
original
after priming and stuff
ssshhh, this is a secret
and if anyone knows anyone that has guards bonnets and such for a ke10 4 door let me know please!
