  2. that pioneer 600w only does 60 Watts x 4, at 4 ohms <= 1% THD+N where this fusion does 75 Watts RMS per Channel @ 4 ohms http://www.soundaround.co.nz/shop/ampli ... plifier-en and its cheaper than the pioneer but i dont think it will just hook up to my headunit the way the pioneer says it does hmmm any suggestions on amps would be great also would like to run at 4 ohms as i heard its more clean ?
  3. fusion RE-CM650 RMS Power (Watts) 85 and fusion EN-CM650 Rms 70 also should i put the better speaker in front or rear ? prolly front aye ?
  4. sweet but will the 400w pioneer be ok or should i go 600w pioneer ? dont wanna buy more then i need!
  5. sweet yeah i havnt got an amp yet been looking at the Sony XM-504Z but read its pretty average so looking at buying a new pioneer GM-4300F or the bigger GM-6300F as it says you can hook them straight up to oem without the need of adapters like the ones you suggested correct ? might be the way to go, there selling both models on trademe the bigger one listed below, lemme know what you think is the best option, thanks s12 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 611014.htm
  6. also another question, are the speaker cables that you get given with speakers sweet to use if you run an amp? or should you upgrade to heavier ones ?
  7. that why i thought it only had one, an auction on trademe said one rca preout which now i guess means one pair ? anyway there a red one and a white one thats it two holes
  8. yup its a pioneer deh-1050e just checked the back of it and it has two! i have no idea where i thought it only had one, i was wrapped when i saw that lol
  9. yea only one rca, have another headunit with 2 rcas but it doesnt have ipod aux dammit! might have to buy some of those thigs from jaycar be the way
  10. ah ok so those things hook up to the headunits speaker channels and then go to the amp ? coz if you have one rca and then use a splitter i couldnt work out how you can make a mono channel into stereo basically ? i'm guessiong its ok for subs but not speakers ?
  11. yup that makes sense, could i not run 4 speakers off one rca ? coz i never intend to hook up a sub as i dont have the room for one thanks for the help guys

  15. sweet also what about sub cables and junk so many to chosse from on trade me whats the best to go with ? might just buy the sony 500w should be enuff power aye ? also i dont think that amp has all those little dials for adjusting bass etc do u need that stuff ?

  17. ok i toally have no idea about car audio but i have a head unit pioneer one with one rca only and i have 2 sets a fusion 6.5 components one in front one in rear, just wondering if i would benefit from an amp much with the set up and was looking at those cheap v12 amps on trade me as i'd need a 4ch amp correct ? will i be able to run this off a headunit with one rca ? would it even be worth amping my speakers?
  18. yeah stock, cost much to get custom one made? would i need a bigger exhaust system also or would the custom manifold cope ok?
  19. yeah it is just make you look lik your cars a sack lol my egt is getting too high i think at 3,000rpm at 100 k i'm at 700 or just under or 800 under hard acceleration according to hks 750 is max what would be the best way to minimize egt but still running what i'm running ? custom manifold ?
  20. woah turned up the fuel and man does it go better! but once i turned up the fuel the 15psi jumped to 20psi so wasnt keen on that but it went so well, smoked alot, i think my boost controller is broke.... coz what ever changes i do doesnt change a thing! so i'm back to standard till i suss things properly, would be keen for a custom manifold to get rid of gases faster as i hit 700 egt at high boost, but yeah i know what to do now its just playing round so thanks heaps guys i'll let you know how i go.
  21. yup thats the one, do those clamps come in different sizes ? you reakon a v4 turbo would be better? be good if the turbo kicked in earlier and harder as if you werent told it was turbo you wouldt know tubos lazy and wound up the boost i blocked off the pressure release vlu so it wuld hold boost wel it worked but doesnt even feel any diff, was on 8 psi now 15psi and feels no diff?
  22. couldnt i just bolt the turbo up to my manilfold ? as the just have that big ring clamp ? also my extractors to turbo manifold is triangle ? i unbolted my spare manifold and turbo had a look ?
  23. also thats something else i dont understand tdo4 turbos are on heaps of cars how does that what mine different what does tdo4 stand for >? also thanks cam for the idea may have too find me a vr4 turbo, would a wrx one work ? as there tdo4 aswell ?

  25. also i think my boost controller is labeled wrong it has the sticker with arrow pointing towards waste gate actuator and when its in this position the one way valve wont let any pressure through? this is blowing through with my mouth, is that the correct way ? and yeah if the turbo is poked its not all bad i got a spare
