  1. Far out, not as big as I imagined it would be when looking from the Sky.

This is the larger Invercargill Wrecker, he also has a whole paddock or two full nearer to his house and one of the other side of town too as well as a fuckload in sheds...

    do a screenshot fucker!

  2. holy crap that's awesome

i'd pick out a car or two of particular interest but....... there's too many

    awesome awesome

there's kinda a place like that here, but you're not allowed in (its no longer a wreckers...) and from the looks of the pics you guys have posted, probably 1/5 the size at most

That's just crazy. In a way it's like a museum...

  3. I pretty much needed new pants after seeing the Datsun and Mazda dealerships in Gone in Sixty Seconds......

I bought some obscure Japanese cop/sonny chiba movie (this one)cos it had a C110 in it. Does a mad handbrake skid. Turned out to have other rad cars too. Also bought PGC110, which is a movie about a KPGC110 cop car, very cool.

  4. My mum used to pwn around in a 164, when I was a kid. Truly awesome, Italian gangster, was a V6, but not quadrifoglio unfortunately.

Had enough computers to launch a space rocket tho... I would not want to be modifying it. 2-stage variable valve timing and battery-in-boot also. Alfa's idea of a executive saloon :D

  5. excuse my possible ignorance but... what was the reasoning of this being gifted to the new owner??

Because Alan is a true gentleman, and Dr. Shimizu is from what I hear a very kind and generous man. I guess Dr. Shimizu loves the car so much that it would be crude to sell it off now. He doesn't need the money, so why not give it to his good friend? Frankly (and I know those who know Alan will agree), I couldn't imagine a better "suited" person for this car.

That's my take on it anyway!

  6. Don't really dig the blue Beetle at all.

Know what you mean Callum, I can appreciate the rat rods for all their work... but think it's pretty stupid these days. Some of the other styles that are in the first link though are hot as. Now that hot rodding has kinda expanded to cars in the 50's and 60's, there's a whole new style emerging. Well, probably more than one. Pretty awesome to see the originality sometimes.

But yeah rat rods... just like 'sleepers' - IE poor man's excuse as to why his car looks shit. I'm over sleepers... they're usually so dodgy.
