I'm after some ideas for cars, basically to be used daily, needs to be reliable and preferrably not too bad on fuel.

So far I'm liking old Magnas & Sigmas, old Coronas and even thought of a R30 or R31 wagon would be cool, lots of room.

I'm looking for something that's relatively cheap, and easy to sell if I need to. Not too obscure either. But yeah, cheap (<$2k).

Suggestions? (keep in mind I'm in Aus)

I saw what looked like (20 feet away) a minter 330 wagon a while ago. White and broken down at traffic lights. Old couple didn't know what to do. At the time I felt I was in too much of a hurry but looking back, really regret not stopping.
