you do need a cert but if the car was offered with the turbo motor they probibaly wont even notice. Same if the engines look similar e.g. 4k to 5k 3k to 4k etc.

Just cause they dont notice dont mean it shouldnt have one though.

Plus then youll fall into the silly part of the regs like if you fit a 3k into a starlet that originally had a 2k youll need a cert and a driveshaft loop

Nah showed up a bit late. On the drive there dropped past the puke club races down one of the back roads. The car looked really good man. Some pretty choice cars there though.

I keep seeing this white Chevette sedan up by my place - I'm sure it's owned by someone on here (or used to).

Has roof racks and painted on white walls. Someone took it beach hop this year. They keep waving and I dunno who it is lol!

Fully used to own one of these lol.

Cost me nothing - fixed a truneon arm that had collapsed on it and then sold it for 500 bucks no wof and dereg.

Old 2 blade fan

New 4 blade fan, freshly painted. These are impossible to get in NZ as they were an accessory for much hotter countries, same with the guards around the sump which my Z doesn't, but the green one does.

Sunvisor after freshly applied 20 odd coats of gloss white paint. This visor was a real basket case when I got it - massive rust holes and looking really worse for wear. Cut the rust out and welded in new strips, some filler and then lots of primer and sanding.

And fitted.

Next on the agenda for sprucing up will be side cover, rocker cover and intake oil bath. Sandblaster at work FTW.

Next challenge - two cars held together with a towrope and going at it.

Get a bar that locks ya trans in gear, with a padlock, and similar cross bar for clutch and brake - that way you can't move the car at all. Cause cause get out of gear, and cant depress clutch without depressing brakes. - Car aint going onto a flat deck then

I have to fly to Dunedin soon and drive a rental car back to Auckland. There is very little time for me to collect item I need to collect and get to Picton for ferry in the time I have available between fly in time and ferry leave time - so I'd like to be going a smidgeon quicker than 100.

So I beg of the peeps out there, has anybody got a radar detector (preferably a good one, like a V1 or XR STI) that I could borrow from the 16th of November to the 19 November. I will collect and return to you at your convenience, with some beer or $$$ for your trouble.
