  1. I have a 2003 Holden crewman ute. Basically since I have had it there is like a metallic screeching sound which sounds like its coming from the front right wheel. I just went out before in it and it was screeching horribly loud constantly for around 5 minutes then went away. It has been on and off for a couple of days, I noticed particularly when turning left the noise seems to increase?

I was thinking it may be worn brake pads, but would they still screech even when brakes are not applied? Or perhaps a stone in the brakes somewhere, although the sound is coming and going...Could it be a wheel bearing?

Keen to hear your input on what it may be, cheers.

  2. Yea, going to try sort some 15's for back with decent tires and maybe take blocks out of back to raise it and hope for bit more suspension compression? Think my t28 is about at it's limit pushing 20.5psi through it to, but worry about that after its road legal..

Best 60ft time 2.232 from today, no idea how that compares except to who I raced today, what do others get?

  3. Not a bad meet, got a ton of runs in! Caught up with a few of the boys off here.

I ran a best of 13.8 again. Still struggling off the line in 1st and into 2nd, however in everyone of my time slips I have a better 60ft time than the others, even the ones that beat me which is interesting. Was switching to 20psi once I got into 3rd gear but boost controller was in a cunt of a place to push the button but seemed to help my trap speed by about 2mph. So had a 13.8 at 99mph last time and 13.8 at 102mph this time. Ahh fine tuning time...

  4. Hmm how late can your register in/what time does it go to? May have to tear a roof off and put new one back on by the weekend so need to work late...Will find out tomorrow morning and will try come out regardless eitherway, why is the 1st Friday of the month always busy

Edit; shall be able to make it :D

  5. Here's the deal, went for warrent in my '95 hiace supercustom, knowingly that my wheels foul on full lock on suspension arms, have let me away before with it but not this time (they only just touch at full lock so I just never turn quite to full lock). Anyway, is there something you can adjust so the wheels won't turn quite as far, giving slightly less steering. It's hits by sfa but needs to be addressed.

    Cheers.

  6. Nice work! Damn that's a cracker of a time.

Yea it was a day of mixed feelings as it started off not so good but finished on a high.

I thought you may have been there, what happened mate, it was a good track with good grip.

Sweet, that's good, still can't get over that time, must be so pumped on it. Yea I had been getting the car ready all week for it but ran out of funds due to unforseen circumstances which was bit gutted about. Will def be at next one.

  7. Just did mine not long ago, that were bloody expensive!

Found my hilux diff leaking also after dragging the other weekend, have the axle out, is it just that small black seal the only one to replace on the inside of the bearing there? First time I've done this.. Never had an outer o ring seal, so will chuck one of those back in to.

Also this breather business, where is that located, top of diff somewhere I assume? I didn't realise there was one till now and can't be to hard to find no doubt anyway.

  8. Sweet as, cheers for that, yea I think currents are around +20 from memory. I'm not wanting to run them on the front (although I already run 20mm spacers on front), just using them for drag racing.

Hopefully 110 will fit onto 108, I suppose it's not to hard to get them slotted slightly to fit though.

  9. Just looking at some wheels on trademe, he doesn't know the offset and I told him how to get it yet he still has failed. He says they were on a ke26 rwd. Does anyone know the offset of a ke26 then? Need to compare to capri offset to know weather to purchase these or not as pretty keen on em.
