  1. yeh thats the 1 man. i got his datto and he got my turbo ke30. was abit of a tear jerker seeing the old gurl passed on but had to be done. a few changes to the datto have yet to come. firstly gunna get rid of that horrible purple paint haha.

  2. id just like to personally thank all the ladies and fellas that turned up in support. it was a huge meet with some awesome machines on show doin what they do best. i feel sorry for the poor fella in the rx2 who totalled the rear end of it.. but i guess u know the risks wen u enter, such a shame to see such a fine piece of work damaged like that.

    all in all was a huge succes, lots of rubber left on the pad. and for all who dont kno, i was 'craig david' beside the dj on the rear trailer. shame..

    oh yeh and huge credit to the dudes in the blue evo5 and red st205 GT4 swinging the mad helli's. very impressive.

  3. yeh its always mean. 1 problem.. gets fucken cold wen the sun goes down so bring your mittens and skivvys... lol.

    um yeh bear has won a few times. probly because he does very impressive skids. but it is set out in categories. rotary, 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, 8 cylinder. so every 1has a chance of winning. haha.

  4. hey dudes and dudettes. theres a skid comp on next weekend (the 19th). should b good, i believe its $10 spectator fee, $30 entry fee for you and a car. skids start at 12 so bring some rubber and leave it there . theres always a good turnout of cars and people so will b a good afternoon of fun. also there are a few stalls, such as etchellz race parts, mad sounds etc and a small car show area.

  5. boyracer NA with 'big bore' (coby and tip) (usually 1.3-2L 4 and 6 cylinder namely 4age and rb20e/de) sound hideous.

    tuned 4cylinder engines sound awesome (4efte,4agte,4age,3sgte,3tgte,4g63,sr20det yade yade yada i have heard a few euro 4s but dont kno enough to comment on them)

    naturally aspirated ported rotarys.. loud and proud, 12a and 13b (although both unique in sound etc) sound quite similar when ported, a 20b or 26b (as we have seen and heard in action man mad mikes rx7 and the FOURRE rx7) just sound f**ken wicked.

    turbo rotarys are different again, but i think they sound best in 8/9 sec drag cars with way to much HP.. and 3foot of side exiting exhaust haha.

    most straight 6 engines with a large turbo, external wastegate with atmosphere venting pipe usually sound very attractive.

    both the toyota and nissan v8 with a well balanced twin system/extractors sound marvelous.

    2 of my favourites however would be:

    1. an eleanor replica, while i was at my old work came in for a wof after a tune up. had just had a set of quad webbers installed. i managed to ask him what work he had done to it today and he said he had just installed $4500 worth of carbs an manifold (purchase price, no labour included etc)

    i would say from what i saw it would have had maybe $150,000 spent on it.. maybe more. it sounded.. like nothing iv ever heard but i liked it..it pulsed, and had a rhythmic shake haha just about had to go relieve myself after he left (giving it a little blip on the gas up the road)

    the guy was from a work shop round the corner. lol, its not an often occurance for them to run out of gas haha its happened a few times. damn how expencive they must be to run, i cant imagine. mind u he said a few weeks later they had the webbers removed because it was just to lethal and used to much gas.

    2. an audi rs6.. drove past me while i was crossing the road.. it was being driven how it should b :twisted: pedal to the metal.. and it sounded wild.. man i want to drive 1 of those. id give any thing to have 1.

  6. 3T in the red Corona coupe, we had one identical back in ChurChur but it got stolen.

    18R is a 2l..... :P

    sorry to correct you sir richard, but the 18r was infact an 1800. appeared in the old rt80 coronas etc, i think also in some of the old hilux utes, its daddy being the likes of the 22r etc.

    the 18rgeu was the 2l. i havnt the faitest idea why they would make a 1800 18r and a 2l 18r. its somewhat confusing. it almost seems more understandable to make the 18r only 1800, and a 20r for a 2l.

    but yeh, i would put my money on a 3t in that red corona coupe.

  7. well, they r old. old generally means they will have rust. old means bearings etc will have worn. old means.. old motor, old gearbox etc. so u wont b able to take it out an drift it or ne thing. the most common place for rust is in the rear gaurds an in the firewall.
