Duraseal roof?
fuck this would be epic if only duraseal wasn't so damn expensive ha
Girlspeed GTi Pulsar had a duraseal CF bonnet at Christchurch 4 & Rotaries a about 10 years ago...or at least it looked like duraseal they probably do it specifically for retarded car owners.

when they turn 40 years old - that means yours will be in 2017

Must have been a nice elise to be worth 100k
So presumably if someone crashes their car running from the cops insurance won't pay out?

I assume he means starting bid below reserve. Also pisses me off, easy to find what the reserve is by bidding 15% at a time. Plus who sells without knowing how much theyd want.

I like your current wheels more than any of the cars on this page except they need to sit abit further out.

Just to save you going back through the previous posts
Handling wise, the car is AMAZING....
I took these same roads about 18 months ago in the GTi6, and I questioned the need to have a Lotus, the Peugeot being nearly as fast and nearly as much fun... While I stand by those comments, the Lotus is just on an entirely new level aurally... it raises the bar substantially.
...
Given my initial impressions on the road, I'm very much looking forward to testing at the track as it promises to be nothing short of awesome.

Pedals are reverse thread. (seems common sense but many people overlook it)
Only the left one. Pedals turn in opposite directions to each other.

Havnt sat on one to see how big they are and theyre dearer than you want to spend (and I dont advocate buying a new bike for any learner even if you could afford it) but IMO these are the nicest looking 250s available.

Given theyre chinese theyre likely to be complete rubbish though.

On the bright side of anything that could have gone wrong and caused you to have to take the motor out again this is about the cheapest.

Theres more photos on page 13

shit knows where all their tax money is going though? military shite I guess.
wikipedia knows all
My pick is to see interest becoming the largest single part over the next few years.

much of NZ debt is private though. hence all the finance company collapses - people mortgaged beyond their means, $1 down finance on 22" spinners etc.
Teh government is in debt but not thaaaaat much, nothing like greece and spain.
not sure if that makes it any better or not. also we are saved by high commodity prices/trading with australia/parts of asia that have money to spend.
Ireland didnt have much govt debt until recently when their banking sector collapsed, Spain still has a large portion of its debt privately (though not for much longer).
Govt debt is probably more critical than private debt but neither can be ignored.

The biggest reason for ACC being so huge is the change to it being fully funded.
Essentially in the past ACC levies had to cover outgoings for that year, if someone got a life long injury their future costs were made out of future levies. Now it has to be fully funded so when someone gets a life long injury there has to be enough in the fund to cover 40 years of 80% of their income etc.
That would be fine if itd been done like that from the start but to get there now (well actually a few years ago) requires paying a huge amount more to cover the amount that was underfunded for 30 odd years. ACC makes billions of dollars of profit each year and will need to continue to do so until its fully funded (2019 from memory). Once it reaches that point it can start breaking even instead of profiting and levies will be able to drop substantially (though I bet the then government chooses to keep them the same/increase them).

Have had this on DVD for a few years. Basically achieved more than John Britten without the almost unlimited budget and taking advantage of everyone who helped him yet hardly anyone knows who he was.

I bought the motor second hand. When it arrived it looked like this
My guess is Mainfreight hit it with a forklift. But they refused to stand behind it.
It looked like it smashed the rocker cover and glanced off the cam tower without doing any other damage. But after driving it about 1,000ks it dropped onto three cylinders. Must have put a stress fracture at the base of the cam tower so when that broke there was nothing holding the cam at the end and it flailed around and broke level with the closest whole tower.
I dont have a picture of it online but it resulted in a somewhat bent valve.

Only heard about this today after I was already committed to other things, they could really advertise it better.
On a similar thread the british car day is on the 25th (apparently) which has had equally appaling advertising.

Theres an episode of American Hot Rod where they build a car for make a wish. In one of the episodes they made a gravity racer (for Oakley but they don't tell you that in the show) that looks like a 33 ford sedan. I have a video of it but no pics but it looks awesome.

Came across this photoshop and thought it should go in this thread.

I'm guessing you dont need a rear clam for a WOF but youd need lights, plate, mudguards etc to make it impractical to get one without it?

oh right, cars have a reserve fuel tank
IIRC twin tank cars like Mini Cooper S's (and XJ6's etc) dont run a reserve, the just take gas from both tanks.
Some earlier cars run a reserve tank though like pre war MG's
