Hey!

I have put a 4k-U engine into my KP60 Starlet. I have been trying to do as much research as I can about this engine but I haven’t found the answers I’m looking for. I want to put a turbo on this engine but am concerned about the pressure. It apparently has a compression ratio of 10:1 which I have been told means I shouldn’t be putting a turbo onto this engine as it will most likely blow!

My question really is just should I/can I turbo my engine? Please get back to me! Thanks heaps

I will find out which it is!

This is the tag that was on my gearbox - I assume my 4 speed is a K40 - engine is a 2k.

It's in a Corolla at the moment

I have just purchased a 4k engine for my starlet and also need to replace my k40 transmission with a k50. Will a K50 transmission fit into my starlet, my only concern is the shifter position? Any help? Thank you!
