Ok so now I’m thinking.... how much boost could this block take with out replacing pistons and the crank?

Something single barrelled around a 32 with uprated seals and a decent float- think I might have something lying around that will do the job.
The head on the block is a bowl in head type. I think the compression is just over 8:1 on all 4 - it’s been a while since I checked. Figured I’d do some internal work, put it together then see what I have. Then could add a decompression pate if needed.

A question for those who are fimilar with older turbo setups.
I have a spare 681f 1600 xflow, and a 1969 mk2 cortina. I also have a Pajero 7psi turbo..... thought I’d have some fun and put a blow through setup together. I’m good with carbs, fueling, exhaust, and turbo plumbing, just not sure how far I go with the lump. I’m used to working on N/A engines, this will be my first turbo that’s not a desiel work Ute.
I thinking valves(maybe upsize as well), guides, lifters, rings, bearings, turbo profile cam, adjustable cam timing with double chain, and the almighty decompression plate.
Anything else I should be looking at ? I don’t want to kill the thing, just want a point of difference.
Also given factory this engine was 67hp ( or there about) what’s a fair expectation of hp if I go though with this?
Thanks in advance

Hey Banga, I've got the same tacho issue. Did you ever get yours sorted and where did you go/buy from?
