I've already tried to get in the wrong side and my right arm doesnt do what its told when I'm changing gear. Time in the seat I guess..  still plenty of time to decide before I get to the point of cutting holes. I did like the idea of centre drive but my ass might get to hot sitting on the transmission. 

Great comments. Funny I agree with all of them, hence the dilemma. Just about to start a rejuvenation job and trying to fugue out what I want to do to it while it's apart. My old HQ ute drives so good if I'm going to redo the old impala I'm Goin to want it to drive nice to. Been driving the impala left hook but the steering is awful so need to fix that. So while I'm at it????????

Wondered if anyone else has thought about converting an imported early 60's chev into a right hand drive like they were made new for new zealand, putting in a pontiac dashboard that can be left or right hand. Like when the were built in Canada but completed here. All the original NZ new cars would be pretty had it now. Would be a hell of a lot easier than converting the new cars?
