Hey all,

I'm in need of some help with some welding work on a project. Normally i would just ask a shop but the things not exactly mobile so i figured i would ask here first and try my luck! Vehicle is a Mazda B1600.

Basically its 3 small patches (20mm ish) and a square piece around 100mm x 100mm on the floor pan and one strip around the rear window surround. I have a spare body if getting rust cuts makes the job easier. If someone with welding skills wants to earn some extra cash, PM me and i can give more details and some photos!

After some info from the mazda gurus out there! I recently bought two 1979 B1600s, one of which im going put back on the road and the other will be a parts donor.

Is there any way to tell what systems the vehicle is equipped with in terms of LSD diffs or disc brakes without removing bits? They are on a farm and i cant remove things until i get them back into the workshop. The reason i ask is because the donor car has a brake booster (I think) fitted and the good one doesnt. So, anyone know if boosters were only fitted to disc models?

Also, the good truck has been converted to 5spd on the floor. The column shift level base is still on the dash but the lever has been removed. Was this or is this a common thing? Should i convert back to the column shift for the re registration?

Both of them are missing the tool kit, and jack, the dash speaker cover and the chrome hubcap covers. Anyone know any good sources for these or know of anyone willing to sell these parts?
