1 part molasses (get from farmlands) to 10 parts water.
surface rust gone in a few days very very pitted rust in couple of weeks.
gets into A pillars, panel gaps etc where sand blasting can't.
it really does work I put my Austin 8 van body into a 4000L swimming pool of it. ate all the rust away so now I can weld patches to the solid steel.
Lasts for approx 6 months and at the end all you are left with is sugary water (with a little iron)
don't have to get swimming pool ($159 from warehouse if you do) small parts easily cleaned up with just a bucket of it

Thank you all for your nice comments & glad you like it.
I love to see people out and about in ther classic and/or different cars i think they brighten up the roads, hopefully give people joy in seeing them as much as you like driving them, so keep your cars going and out there.
The S1 Esprit is almost road legal so look out for that one too on canterbury roads :0)
thanks again Robb & Karly

Quick snapshot of my 2 year restoration of a 1981 Purvis Eureka Kitcar
Manufactured in Australia by Allan Purvis
Original design in England by Richard Oakes in 1971 called a Nova
This car orignially had a ford V4 (approx 84HP) I bought the car less motor so it now has a Subaru 2L with Garrett turbo (286HP) now it goes as good as it looks.Link to the discussion thread: //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/54179-eureka-1981-purvis-eureka-f4/

Name: Robb & Karly
Location: Canterbury
Cars you own: 1981 Eureka F4, 1976 S1 Esprit, 1958 S1 Landy, 1946 Austin 8 saloon, 1946 Austin 8 Van, 1988 Lynx (lotus 7 style) kitcar
Mods to them: Eureka upgrade by 200hp with subaru 2L & Garrett turbo, Esprit is prototype from Lotus to Steelbros, Landy & Austins original, Lynx has a 2TG motor
Link to pics:
How you found out about oldschool: couple of guys (sorry can't remember your names) in Diahatsu stopped by after seeing our Eureka park in Rangioras "Try n Save" carpark
Anything else you want to add: TO REMOVE RUST use molasses (1 part molasses to 10 parts water) leave to soak for couple of weeks it will eat the rust away leaving shiny steel, believe me it works I put 4000L into pool & put the Austin Van body into it, there are youtube videos of people doing this. Non corrosive and at the end you are left with Sugary Water so bio friendly.
