Yeah the guy who bought it from us changed the cage to fit a fully upright seat which I thought looked hideous so its good to see you changed it. It was always quite tight tho, im 6.1 and struggled to fit in it, we actually had an adjustable peddle set-up so I could fit. If it has a th350 in it now it was prob what was in it and I was wrong saying 400.
And yeah the trailer was always a massive pain In the behind and we had to jack it right up and have some wood underneath to get the car in.
Ill be able to track down some photos, there's a few of it on sites like kiwidragracing under the old multimedia achieves.
If you go to the modified final button in this link its a video of it racing.

Ill have a scratch round for some photo's and try post them later this week

Hi Guys, sorry its my first post but I thought id help out with some info on the dragster.
My old man built it a while back (early 00's at a guess) for a guy that used to work for him. it was built as a basic entry point to dragracing. really simple all steel chassis with a basic carb'd SBC running methanol. it had a turbo 400 as a tranny and a basic Mark Williams diff from memory. Bryce (dads employee) ran it for many years and from memory won a championship or two it. years later I got my first drag racing license in it and raced it for a couple seasons winning the NZ nationals and a number of other meetings running in modified. I had it running low 9's @ 140. My brother then took over and got it down to 8.8 @ 150. it was extremely consistent and a great car.
The guy we sold it to put a new body on it and changed the seating position as he didn't like how laid back you were when we built it. I think its looks much better with your changes to the roll cage and im really interested to see how you go in it with the different engine.
Side note - made me laugh that you haven't painted the trailer - My dads company is RPM and my uncles was Carlsons kitchens. hopefully the floor in the trailers better then it used to be (had lots of holes back then)
If you need any info I can prob find the answer
Cheers

Just wondering why you went for drum brakes and not rotors? Awesome build tho and looking forward to the finished product.
