So today was spent grinding off the paint in the engine bay.
The firewall and heater bubble before:

There was some rust but not too bad.
The worst of it is the fire as seen here:
also below the radiator had a fair amount:
Found these numbers that have been hand stamped on. Have no clue what it means maybe build number?

So long time no update. Have been busy with school exams and my car being at an awkward location but it has been brought home and is now on the floor of my uncles workshop.
