Thanks for that. Keeping TBI unit in mind as back-up plan while trying to mount the bike throttle bodies I have (VFR 800, 36mm, quite close to DCOE spacing).
-
Edit.
Whoops, misread that.
What model Suzuki is this TBI on? I know one from EA/EB Falcon drops into place of Weber carb.

I'll be there.

I was talking with a friend from Sefton about one or two of the unique cars on here lat month, and he mentioned having done a WOF or some work one one of these. A week or so later this one turned up, but he was out of the country so I didn't hear if it was the same one until today.

Heading over soon to have a look. Just mapping a more interesting route as Kaimais is rather boring.

This page from Megasquirt forum has some info about sizes and spacing for bike throttle bodies. Not an exhaustive list but plenty of common sets.

I've ordered the arduino and a Bluetooth module to go with the one I'm getting. Will order components set from Oz when my hobby account recovers from Gumboot Rally bender.

Spotted this on eBay, may be relevant or interesting.

Yeah, I'll pop down, see who's about.

I think I saw that same green Commie wag heading for Cape Reinga a couple of weeks ago. Or they're multiplying.

Should have radiator back in wagon by then.

Parked my postie bike right next to this the other day. Was impressed with the styling, it's a league apart from the Chinese clone scooters. Nice to hear the engine is from the GY6 family, well engineered motors and so many choices for parts.
Would be fun to try one with a mildly tuned 150 motor.

Just going from memory here, but some earlier CXs have high and low speed ignition ciruits. Sounds like one is failing.
Not sure if the Ignitec units are still around, likely superseded by now, but is fully tunable after market system. Wasn't cheap, and earlier bikes require bodging or later spec stator.

Will come along unless you flag it.

I'm a starter.

I've left a message for my 17yr old cousin in Foxton to let me know if he's wanting anything specific for his Morrie, may end up going over.

You still need the Arduino board. They can be had from Trademe, AliExpress, eBay and so on. It looks like PCBs are a bit scarce right now, so it's a bit of a waiting game.

Just signed up on the Speeduino forums, looks too good to not investigate for when Fiat twincam goes into Lada wagon.

I'll be there again.

Or your kids could hack in via Bluetooth when they think you're driving too slowly.

Forgot to ask, what time?

Will pop along and say hi.

Had one of those about 15 years ago. Never was keen on a rotary conversion, just used it to carry all the things on all the roads. Was at some friends place in Papamoa for dinner when some acne magnets came door knocking to see if I'd sell it. Told them I was not interested, then when I went to leave I found it'd been stolen.

Looks like a great base for a project. Always wanted to have a ride on one of these as they look like a sweet little 250.
