Hey matt im not truly sure on the rarity id love to know real numbers but that cud be some digging, i just know i havent seen many at all and they are awesome cars.

The first carbs put on were dhla 48 mm way too big for my lil 1600 which made it near impossible to drive there was no inbetween it was idle or 4000 rpm clutch dump takeoffs it was hard work and took its toll quickly on the engine bore washing it, after sourcing them i made the switch to 40mm dhlas but the damage was done and the smoking was getting bad but for a while i just drove it and enjoyed it till i wanted to start the rebuild.

So after saying to my matesi didnt want to mod this car it was too perfect and awesome first on my mod list was a custom 2 inch exhaust system about 5 days after ownership, from there it went downhill haha then it was time for the doooooor of twin sidedraughts i had heard it and needed it myself so on they went and the real sss was born.

MODS: datsun is lowered all round custom springs and shortened shocks, rebuilt engine with oversized valves stage 3 cam, headers and 2 inch exhaust, twin dellortos, (about 125 engine hp), ssr longchamps, recaro seats.

So next up was the strip down of the engine, me and my dad did this and we went about so that if it went well the crank didnt have to come out, we were successful in this and got away with a home and new rings and big end bearings but that wasnt all that was going to be done now i had commited to modifying
