I'm also using Cura, but not the latest version, which I've heard mixed reviews about. It seems pretty good. The only thing I'd really like to be able to play with is manually placing support structures rather than just letting the software do it.
I got as far as downloading Fusion 360 but we have PTC Creo at work so haven't really spent any time learning how to use it.
I have a Tevo Tarantula (Prusa I3 clone). It came as a DIY kit and was a lot of fun putting it together and having it actually work at the end. Most of my prints so far have been upgrades for the printer (filament reel holder, belt tensioners, upgraded brackets, cooling fan duct, adjustable z-stop etc). Probably the upgrade that had the biggest impact was adding the cooling fan to the hotend which improved the quality of printing angled overhangs and thin sections immensely.
So far I've been printing PLA to get to grips with the effects of changing print settings but have just ordered some PETG for higher strength and improved durability prints. I've just finished designing an ipad holder for the back of the car to keep the kids occupied when we go away on holiday at xmas.

As an aside... interesting but lengthy read about Tesla and the bigger picture here...
https://waitbutwhy.com/2015/06/how-tesla-will-change-your-life.html
Read the whole Elon Musk series and it's hard not to admire what he's trying to achieve.
Anyway, electric powered Mustang drag car from the Tron...

I had a chat to the guys at R3 Fabrications in Papakura a little while ago about doing some work on my RX3. They seemed pretty awesome.
...or BookFace if you want see some of the stuff they're working on...

Mid '80s Toyota Corolla, AA driving lesson spec with brake and clutch pedals also mounted in the passengers footwell. Not sure if they still do that for "learners" cars?

- 1954 Morris Minor 2 door, split screen. Purchased for $275. It would run out of puff going up Hackthorne Rd. If you tried to do a hill start in reverse it would pop out of gear meaning one hand on the gear stick, the other on the hand brake, foot on the accelerator and steer with the other knee. As a wannabe hoon in 1980's Christchurch, I hated that car.
- Mk I Escort 2 door. Primer gray, rear jacked up on air shocks, rowdy exhaust and cheap mags. It got written off by my dad (he was ok).
- Mk I Escort 4 door, factory purple. Was my daily driver when i was at polytech. You could literally unlock the doors with a one cent piece so it used to get broken into regularly.
- Mk I Capri. 2 litre V4. Bronze with trident mags. Had just been restored by the previous owner. I loved this car until it got stolen from indoor cricket one night.
- 1973 Mitsubishi Galant GTO. White with blue stripes. Brought for $1700. Was a pretty cool car. It was during owning this car that I became un-single for the last time. That was about 25 years ago...
Wish i had photos of any of them.

Unfortunately Whitford is closed at the moment for logging. Maraetai is open again but needs some work to get the trails back into shape and get some new ones established where the forest has been logged. I haven't been out for a look since it reopened but the local bike club (http://www.pcbc.co.nz/) has been doing working bees most weekends.

Used to have a gtx 323 (1800 dohc turbo) and one day at a mates place we decided to take it out in the paddock for some 4wd burnouts (if you can still call them burnout on grass). Revved the crap out of it and dropped the clutch, engine bouncing off the rev limiter and generating copious amounts of smoke. Drove back out to where my mate was standing by the fence and he asked "you do realise that the wheels weren't turning at all?"
Oops, burnout fail and one very hot and unhappy clutch!

What: 1976 Land Rover Series III
Why: Because I wanted a hack that I could throw the mountain bike and/or dog in the back of.
When: About five years ago.
How: It belonged to my mum. She had owned it for a couple of years but was reluctantly trying to sell it. I was originally looking for something a bit newer but the timing was right with the added bonus that it ended up staying in the family.
What's Next: Get it back from the garage that has been fixing (and very kindly storing) it for the last year and a half. I'm running short of parking space at home but I don't want to sell it. I'd love to give it the restoration treatment some day. I guess "what's next" would ideally be build/find a new house with a bigger garage.

Chill out - I'll upload the pics he's emailed me as soon as I get a moment. You may have seen the car already if you browse the Japanese auction sites, but I'll post 'em up anyway.
Any chance you can get some pics of the FD too? Might be keen.

RX3 coupes are cool but you have to remember that they're a 40 year old car now with 40 year old handling etc. Having not driven one before you're doing the right thing by taking one for a test drive before leaping in. I love my RX3 but to be blunt, they're just another 70s Japanese car that happens to have a slightly unusual motor. Don't expect to be blown away unless it's something heavily modified and then you start trading off ride quality and drivability.
I went through a similar process this year looking for a coupe. The peeps here were kind enough to offer lots of advice and tips along the way. It took me the better part of six months to find one. Check the early pages of the Rotary Piner Thread. There's some good advice from some of the guys and gals here.
My advice is...
Decide what you want. This is important because of the cash you'll end up parting with. Are you going to hold out for a genuine RX3 or would you be ok with an 808 dressed up like an RX3? Find out what the differences are so you can tell a genuine from a replica. Are you looking for modified or original?
Resign yourself to the fact that you're likely going to spend mid 20s upwards on a genuine RX3 coupe and have the cash available.
Don't muck around when something comes up and be prepared to travel to look at one.
Buy a "complete" car. Parts are expensive and some can be very hard to find.
Hang in there. It might take a while. I think I got pretty lucky with only taking six months and chances are you'll end up dealing with all sorts of rotards along the way.
Good luck!

I ended up going with Swann for my RX3 and it was a fast and easy process. No claims yet though so can't comment there. Swann were recommended by my regular insurer (State) and worked out significantly cheaper.
I tried AA classic cover first but they got hung up about the fact that the engine has been changed (13b vs. original 10a).

Yip, and with change to spare... at the time it seemed so expensive and a long way from my original budget of $14-16k.
