So the lights turned put to be an easier fix than I thought it would be, I took it to my girlfriends dad and he found that there was another inline fuse under the dash that had blown, and once we put a new one in it was all sorted.
Now I'm just waiting for my mate to finish welding my headers up and the then I'll chuck those on and it should be all ready,
I'm looking forward to driving it properly again, it's been really sluggish with the crack in the manifold, it should sounds and run a lot better once the headers are on. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/42643-austin-owners-1975-austin-1300-discussion/page-2

Alright a lot has happened in the last couple days, Ive only really started working on this again and made some fast progress. It's now changed colour for the third and final time, and I have to say I like primer a lot more than brown...
I've fixed the breaks, got the engine running well again, cut out the rust, bashed and bogged the dints, so the only things left for wof are the tail lights and the exhaust leak in at the manifold.
Hopefully I'll get the last two things done on Friday and take it for a wof

Royce getting a WOF
Hahaha that's my dad's I'm pretty sure, in tauranga?

Baggage chacked the bulb and have check the cables, there's power going to the back so there are no breaks in the lines but I'm told it could be the headlight switch, so when it's turned on there's no power being sent back... Idk I'll be having a look at it on Friday, finishing the body work tomorrow

Sorry not reverse lights I meant tail light a. Like when the head lights are on

Things are changing again! No pics today but all the same, after going for a wof the other week I ended up with quite a list of things to fix. Thankfully now it's down to only a couple, it's just the tail lights and number plate lights that arnt working and I still need to make the breaks better, but other than that it's all ready.
I'll also be changing the color again before nats as like everyone told me Im not as fond of the brown and cream as I first was, but this time I'm going to spend a little more time on it so it looks legit stay tuned!

So for I have no photos but the engine needs attention and need to get things sorted for wof and excitingly there is a new colour scheme!

Shot guys.
Yeah I'm not sure how much the +DE conversion would be but I have a mate that said the +T for a 30e can be done for under $1200 so hopefully it'll pay off.

Cheers for the positivity everyone. Zututu is definitely the plan.
I've been told by multiple people that putting a 25de head on turns it into a 30de so I might look into that, but for now I just want boost!
And I'm looking into the widened steelies but not sure who does them in BOP and also don't know if they need to get certified or not? Anyone know?

Righyo long time no post. Ended up swapping the vk wagon for this 1988 vl.
Had it for about 3 weeks now and loving it even more than the last commy.
It's the RB30e manual but it's running a little ruff as it's coughing at low revs then picks up and runs normal after around 1.5k revs.
Its had a respray at some point but it's pretty ruff in places.
Plans just to clean it up abit and make it run mint before slapping a turbo on it.
I've brought some 15" steerlies that I gotta get tyres for and then obviously sack it lower

Not a long term solution, but you definitely don't need the reverse lights for a WOF. I asked my WOF guy about it on friday and he double checked the VIRM. You might want to get them sorted eventually, but if that is the only thing that needs done for a WOF I would be arguing it with the WOF guy and fixing it up later on
fuck thats good to hear then, i ll just take in on friday as is and see what they, probly give me a new list of things to do.
You need these tbh
if only i had $1500 to spend on rims thay would look sick on it too with the gold rims and light blue car
