  1. You need a heavier tow vehicle I recommend you buy my commodore. If you don't kill the tow car first getting a sway on at 80ks will probably have you kerb side before the Bombay hills. swap cars for day with someone else you know with a beefier tow car you won't regret it nothing worse than a sketchy trip making it then not been sure if you'll get home in one piece.

     

    I'm good I think it'll just be the one off, if the wanker I got my Mazda bounty off didn't throw the tow bar away I'd be fine. I'm usually a bit of a risk taker but are quite convinced that this could be a bit too risky, guess I'll have to go through the hassle of borrowing someones 4x4.

  2. wouldnt the vr4 be heavier than an '80s cressy?

     

    I would say not very safe - ok for a sneaky move around the corner but prolly not a trip down the line.

     

    Yes the Cressida will weigh around 1200kg, trailer 650 & the vr4 is 1300ish

    Edit: 1200kg is including the 2 of us in the car

  3. Hi are in need of a bit of help bought a E39a VR4 recently first mitsi i have owned, 2nd & 3rd were a bit crunchy though was still very driveable but suddenly lost all gears when i downshifted, doesn't really seem gearbox related?

    Has a 6puk clutch which is pretty much new
