There is a company called autoclips limited that have a good range. You can get their product through partmaster very cheap... I used to work at partmaster and used them a lot.

^^ that two stroke v8 is SERIOUSLY FUCKING COOL.

Xploit? I see. I was bidding against him on that Accord on TM a few weeks back. (same car, I'm sure!) Very nice car! I am glad he got it though, sounds like he knows his stuff and has a few real cool toys. Nothing worse than seeing a nice old car like that go to some muppet that doesn't appreciate it! Nice roof rack and light too!

It is quite amazing just much volume an old mechanical pump delivers aye? I got into a jam once in a 265 powered CL Val and run the biggest electric one Repco had and it couldn't keep up over 2000rpm! Anyway, it definitely sounded like a fuel issue, so well done sorting it out! WIN!

Good stuff Nat! Get involved and don't be afraid to try a few basic things yourself... There is only one way to learn!

There is another video somewhere of a dude with a Detroit in his ute that runs away, and when he realises he jams a piece of plastic in the turbo and destroys the compressor wheel... along with trying to lose a few fingers! Manages to stop it pretty quick though. Shit it would give you a fright at the time! I've never had an engine run away on me, but bugger that for a joke... Even scarier when the engine is bigger than you and jumping around trying to mash the shit out of your toes!

Fantastic buy! Look at that interior!!! Love it when stuff like this comes up for sale because the little old lady has given up driving! Good luck with her, hope you enjoy it.

Not really an awesome engine, but check out these mad old buggers!!!

I've had 2 sedans, but both 2L versions. The old RB is indestructible!!! Mine used to live on rev limiter and opposite lock at times and it never let go... not once! The 3L versions are much better, but the baby engine isn't all bad. They do use a shedload of fuel though. Personally I'm a lover! Great drivers car!

Fantastic build mate! I have had 5 of these in the past, one of which was in showroom condition. Absolutely awesome cars! I see you are having a lot of head gasket issues too... I used to use a composite gasket and spray it with copper gasket cement on fitting, they are far more forgiving than the copper equivalents. You can get these from ACL. Great to see you taking the time to build this up... but careful, they are addictive. Last time I had one I gained 4 more in the backyard! If I can help you with anything let me know, I have no parts left but I do know where all 5 cars went with parts and the dude would part with some I am sure. I have resto'd a Mini and an 1100 and am following your build with interest... Great stuff!

Name: Aaron
Location: Southland
Cars you own: 1978 Subaru 1600 DL, 1985 Honda CRX Ballade Sport (DD)
Mods: Subaru is completely stock right down to the hubcaps! Have repowered with a later EA71 dry sleeve... CRX has an intake (for that induction noise found nowhere else!) and exhaust, but other than that it's stock. I'm a sucker for keeping things original...

How did you find out about OldSchool: Saw it mentioned on USMB and NZH a few times, had a look and got hooked!
Anything else you want to add: I would love to meet up with a few others and do a few track days in the S.I. and have a yarn. I've had 54 cars since I was 15, everything from Minis and other british stuff through to early and late Japanese, with a few Aussie classics thrown in too...
