Hey hey hey. Steady on with the rx2 bashing.
Your talking about the best of all the rx models there.
The only one to get a 5 link rear end, none of this crappy leaf spring shit here.
The best body lines.
Owned by only the handsomest of men.
Never a truer word said...!

Anyone paying more than $30k for a non genuine rx is an idiot. The amount of cars you can get in Nz for less than that is ridiculous. Cue AMG e55. Supercharged v8 with a special plaque for under $20k.
Yeah but some of these buyers might already have a few modern rides in the garage and just pine for an old school ride... just saying..

I guess when you consider that a good 3 coupe is $120k+ those 808's are cheap?
Bodes well for 808 coupe owners I guess.
Certainly not complaining...!

Wow. I really didn't think RX 808s were going to command this sort of money.

So minimum 16“? Or can be 15" depending on internal structure?
15s are fine with this wheel. These are 15s. I just couldn’t get the lowest profile Toyo 888s.. so it looks a bit tall. Was in a rush as usual so compromised..! She’s really steady on the track though. So whilst it doesn’t quite have the look I like, am really glad with the setup.

Do they need to be any particular diameter to clear brakes?
Yeah they did.... as she has rx7 disc brakes on the front .. although kept drums on the back so she could race in the classic trials..

@Popwill Your coupe is awesome just the way it is. Modgies really suit it.
With the colour I think some dark grey coloured Wannabes would look good?
What wheels does the beige Mazda have?
Koya AE Tek. Another impulse buy. I was racing in the Classic Series and needed something quickly .. so settled on these. At least this time I got some decent Toyo semi-slick tyres to go. But will need to change the wheels one day. Any thoughts on wheels for rx2 coupe?

Your coupe is awesome - I'm just being picky.
So what wheels do you guys think are the best for a coupe?

Modgies are ok ... Modgies with the original smaller style centre caps and eagers / yoko's / bfgoodrichs are fuckn cool ... by gone era, good old days etc.
Re-make 13 /14" modgies with big centre caps and any old balloons on em ... meh
They’re not that bad right.... actually I chose some pretty suckful tyres for her back in the day... due to some limited choices in Hastings. I’ll have to update them one day. Agree with you they look better on eagers/BFGs..

Because “Modgies are awesomes Tuesday’s” doesn’t have all the same starting letters?
So are Modgies considered Trailer wheels? I didn’t make the connection... but now come to think of it they do seem to be on a lot of trailers... doh.

My absolutely spotless Lancia HPE Volumex. Sold it to buy a Legacy GT wagon in the day. Sad.

MLC? First gen Z4. Cheap and cheerful convertible. And the 3.0 litre is a decent donk.
