Hex lights are JDM only, with the exception that US cars did have them in 1976 (I have a US brochure from '76 showing them), possibly earlier.

    Hex on JDM 12A models circa 1973 - 1977.

Some last series RX-3's on run out were badged V100 which had a tail light same as US spec SP cars, straight vertical line lenses.  Extremely rare.

Tea Cup lights were also JDM only on 10A GT and GS spec cars, 1971-72.  Never exported.

Others were round style.  There maybe the odd variance in weird export markets....

    Perfect .. thanks for that..

It might be a market dependant thing?  I'd just search for brochures and see what haps.

I found this one for you.

Yes. Original brochures make sense. Am scanning through them now. Thanks!

Anyone have pictures of exactly what badges go where on a square-headlamp rx2 coupe and 10A rx3 coupe from new? So many variations out there... I just want to get the badges right as they were from factory. Pac Performance seem to have a pretty good selection of replica badges nowadays... unless anyone knows better? Cheers.

Case in point. Did the rx2 coupe come with this badge on the boot lid? 50% of cars have it. 50% don't.

  5. black z4 coupe nice. Looked like a good deal. Z4 convertibles are nice... owned one in HK and brought it into NZ... but wasnt a fan of the cloth roof in NZ weather. Sold it for a song... $19k 6 years ago with only 28,000kms on it. Pic below.

That 996 sold cheap...although dont like the 996 styling that much. If you can stretch to the 997... I think much nicer styling inside and out (personal view)...do it. Had a manual turbo...lovely car... but not cheap to service!! Fark.

Are these people serious? It’s a cool car but $50k? As if fake rx's couldn’t be worth more. I’ve never understood the attraction to these. Yeah they’re lightweight blah blah blah but $50k? I’d stretch the budget another $10k and buy an r35 gtr.

I guess it comes down to the fact that there is probably someone out there that has always dreamed of owning such a car and the buying options are now so limited that $50k may not seem like so much to get the car they have always pined for. I cant say I understand the interest in a 1300... but most people around me think I am absolutely nuts owning a pp rx2 coupe.  Like completely bonkers. So it's all relative. Probably what mystifies me more is there are some much more usable classics out there that still sit around the $10-15-20k price when a 1300 like this is up around the $50k mark. Lancia Volumex, Saab 900S Turbo, Alfa Veloce Sprint to name a few. And if I could just get my hands on a Fiat Strada 105 TC...............
