the highest I had on a ODO was a 540i E34 BMW which I sold last year, had around 280,000KM..the second highest one was a 525i I 'bought' from a american girl when she left.. had around 200,000KM + on it..

joy! just having to add .jpg to the image works..
yep..was originally using a bolt and washer, then went and spent 50 cents on a wing nut/bolt then jb welded a washer since they only had wing nuts and not bolts.. works great and easy to move camera angles.

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.
Funny because I didn't ever post any obscene or suggestive pictures either,
Likely some nazi mods gone on power trips because he didn't like what I debated and has no better come back then go nazi.

Made this camera stand thingy recently.. just a plank of wood with holes drilled on it...goes under the passenger head rest.. diy go pro
I am "not allowed to use that image extension on this community" - oh well..so much for George Orwellian freedom of controlled one sided biased speech on public platforms.

yea but if you add a long piece of steel like same dimensions as a ruler but only like thicker, you get more grip, or at least always found that to be easier, otherwise the washers just tend to spin out a bit..but yea, does the same thing..
-
Areythey the same as rivnuts?
yea pretty much, blind nuts, nutserts is what I call them..all you need is a maybe 3mm thick plate a hole drilled in, allan key, some wshers and you got something better then a ~$200 tool..
-
i made a nutsert tool few weeks ago out of a piece of metal bar 1" x 8" x 3mm thick..
who here knows what nutserts are?
-
paid about $49 I guess, usual charge.. yea..maybe something like that..my rego exemption goes 3 weeks from now, had to fill out a special form but hey..
-
nope, i didn't..as far as I remember..was put on hold around oct maybe?
-
I put my bmw on hold few months back till feb, went to renew the lisence for 3 months today and well I got 4 -5 months worth for the same price? whats the loop hole here?
-
so how did it come out? yeas ago I did something like it, the ghost lettering remained no matter what I did, only a fresh coat of paint had solved it from a pro.. but hey, I am a bit ocd about these small things..
-
well i do have a local engraver not sure how much cutting they can do...
I have tried some overseas people previously..not bad really, but this is a small local job for somebody who wont be using the net to get in touch and waiting a month, so hence i'm asking..
-
Well I had a small company in Asia do some small miniature projects for me, I am also looking for any Lazer Cutters in NZ that are affordable and can do a variety of jobs like engraving into wood, small projects involving wood and metal?
-
c'mon on, its a child and a little jeep, what is the world coming to if some people want to hassle him driving that thing in some vally.. river or whatever.. tell those thug coppers to piss off..

Probably will end up spending $50 in materiel to get it right imo, rather take it to a local pro or so, ask them, they will do it so good... okay sounds sexual..but trust me, any kind of badging work on older cars, you are better off with a pro car panel paint guy, not a expensive shop but a local guy. speaking from experience..

Anybody know good affordable wheel alignment places? I got a BMW which is RWD, Its Supercharged and due for a Wheel Alignment 1000KM ago.. I am around Whangarei, thought of poping into magic tyres but not sure I want some bozos doing it for me.. So yea, might ask around that shop I got to for wof's I guess, they are bmw fanatics..
-
no insurance..an contact I know wrecks BMW's in auckland time to time, so said next time around hes got a e36 coupe I could take the windshield if I can find anybody to take it out.. I am in Whangarei..
-
Looking for somebody in Auckland who can take out a Windscreen Glass for me? My one broke and a contact in auckland may have a spares car but we need somebody to take out the glass.
Not sure about smiths and smits or novos or anybody or if they would charge us to take it out, considering I also have to put it back in locally.

well, the first two were obviously just gushing out air at throttle! and I had boost leak... the other one I bought which is a RFL Clone had leaks as in it would suck in post maf air into the system on recirc, and would also leak from the bottom.. I can just blow on to it and air comes out! Lol..the clones of RFL/HKS types seem to be unreliable and crap, the older greddy diaphram ones are crap, ts all just a mess.. I am trying to buy a GFB Dual Port now..
-
I have my BOV plumbed back and it leaks, I was going to go plumb back initially but then I found out about the dual ports that can make the woosh woosh sound, so I figured I'd get the dual ports
totally, the bosh valves are used on porches, if it can handle that, it can handle our cars as well.
-
got one I could buy? got a greedy type s here with rotten diaphram .
-
The ones that are good seem to cost more then I want to pay, and the ones that are within reach, are all crap or some second hand one some other prick picks up before I do!
I wanted to go with the GFB Dual Port... Heard Great thing about Tials, is there a Dual port or single recirc port Tial available.
