  1. Had a play spring today and to be honest didn't really get too far... I turned the Top Hats around to check if that would change the angle of the strut, a little bit of change on each side, but nothing to fix the major problem. So, I got the measuring stick out and measured between the strut and the wheel and it's pretty obvious something's wrong.

another measure between the TCA and the bottome of the strut measures fairly similar...

    Any more ideas?

  2. Hi,

I've got an issue with my front struts and the differences in camber they're producing. The front left is sitting with negative camber and the right with positive. Has anyone had this issue or know how to rectify this problem.

The front end is off a mk2 with 145 pound lowered springs. Everything else is standard...

    Any help would be appreciated.

Not too bad. I think I'd like to reblock and spray again. My dream was always diamond white with black Mexico decals.

This is the state I got the car in. About 5 years of being locked up in a water tight shed... A rat families home... Lovely. - note the strut bolt holes... Someone prior to us owing it had a great idea of drilling new holes...??!! WTF - cheap camber? Recommendations??

  4. Hi,

Just bought a Mk1 escort off my bro who's now living in Australia and decided to sell up, so I decided it's my turn to finish the escort off and get it back on the road. He did a lot to get it to where it is, new guards and panels, freshly rebuilt GT Spec 1600 cross flow, RS dash, etc, etc...

I look forward continuing the work and to keeping the build updated on this website and encourage comments, thoughts and any help that can get this classic back on the road!

    Cheers,
