Is he selling it (or was just recently)? I'm pretty sure it's the same car.
He bought it relatively recently off the Tard (maybe 1 year ago?).
No plans to sell at the moment as far as I know. He loves the thing! I don't blame him.

I rounded a corner beside a very well looked after/restored MkII Escort 1600 Sport but couldn't take a picture, however when I got where I needed to go, this was across the road so i figured I would take a snap for Shakotom & 3onthetree..
A little late to the party with my 2 cents but playing catch up with spotted. Chances are you will see this car parked here in Invers reasonably often. The owner of the minty beast is the boss at Home Plus and a good friend of mine. I nearly shat a brick when I found out what a deal he got on that car and am somewhat jealous cos it's sweeeeeeet. By the way, the 80's rake was to get a warrant. Apparently custom rear springs are on the way.

I have used them a couple of times back when I used to live down there. Price was good and staff were friendly. That was quite some time ago but I doubt anything has changed cos Invercargill.

Did you ever enter any competitions back in the CANZE days? Would be interested to hear how you scored, SPL etc.

Loving the old school audio and just the car in general. Well done for keeping it pretty much original, it must have been hard not to cave into the 90's body kit craze.

+1 for Classic cover. Enquired with them for my Honda and they were so good I changed my R36 and bike over with them too. Probably saved $1000 a year all up over what AMI were charging me before.

But real fruit icecream has to be good for you with all that REAL FRUIT in it, right? maybe not
Loving your work Eddie, that's a real sweet patch you have going on there.

Croz, Larrakin Biker. The legend of Graeme Crosby. Lots of laughs, epic stories of sweet motorbikes and racing. You can't go wrong.

Suppose they've always been a classic, but these were always under appreciated due to e30's/2002's taking all the glory. Values have shot up in the last two years and will continue to do so I reckon.
I'm with Berjjj, I reckon mint E21 323i's are going to skyrocket.

That was god damn poetic!

Holy shit that's cheap!! Awesome. I'm going to be hitting him up ASAP. I was expecting 500 for springs. I already have my struts shortened and shocks rebuilt (couldn't find a replacement shorter shock) but now wish I had gone to him right from the start cos I paid way too much apparently. Thanks for all the info, much appreciated.

Hey Driveby, if you don't mind me asking, do you have any idea on prices? I'm hoping he will be able to do something similar for my car. Cheers.

Good shit, that's exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks alot for the contact info, will give him a bell.

Hi there Oldschoolers. Has anyone have any clues about custom springs? I recently had my springs compressed as much as possible before they became coil-bound but need another inch of height taken out to make the car not sit like a boat. I'm not real keen to go the Makita one-way route as the ride is stiff enough as it is.
Tell me your stories of woe or go. Cheers!

Here is where we money would be going but I am a little biased/ a VAG whore.

As Gaz has mentioned, VW passats are lush. Again, I am also biased cos I have an R36 Passat but if you can stretch to 30K they are hard to beat for the sound alone.- 1

Unfortunately no. I was only up there for the weekend cos the Mrs was over for a visit. Usually I am slaving away in Brisbane or interior Oz so no time for lush surf spot visits.

XJ6 Jag - Worth a buy?

Back in the mid 90's my parents had a Daimler double six (series II lwb xj) with a 350 in place of the v12. Was fucking lush. I can still remember the smell of leather and wood like it was yesterday. They owned it for about 5 years and never had a single issue with it. Moral of the story is, if you ditch the boat anchor engine and find one that has been garaged then you might be ok.
