With installing itbs, i needed to run an aircleaner. Im not a fan of socks and the SQ Eng trumpets dont allow individual socks to be fitted. Keeping with the theme of the factory look. I made an aircleaner. I copied the original 4m box in the way that it seals and the lid clips on. Although large ,it lets me keep the trumpets.
All thought out and made by myself, with hand tools,shrinker/stretcher and a beadroller.
Can anyone guess what the lid was made from?
Nice work! I Guess must be.... a cut out from toyota fj40 tool box lip.

one good thing about the new factory location is it's next door to the strippers.
Paint and Metal Strippers, not the other kind!
So I got my old header pipes out and they cleaned up very nicely.
before.
after.
looks almost the same in the photos but all the old paint, carbon, sealant and flakey rust be gone!
saved a load of time trying to sand a bunch of snakes.still sanding, hopefully for the last time!
Should get your exhaust ceramic coating for last longer and help heat reduction too.

Thx for your mentions.
I need to check it out the original paperwork.....some way in the glove box.
This is the 1970 Luce. It's been through quite a few owners but the body still solid as a tank. Most paint work still original.
Really a rust free body. Mazda well built it at that era. People calling it "Alfa Mazda".
I believe that this could be one of the first Mazda's brought into NZ by Champion motors in Christchurch(who was part of Amuri motors?), do you have the original paperwork/ownership papers for it? I believe one of the senior staff owned the car.

Thanks for VW BRM style. Currently just got hold of that golden Luce owner in Japan but he sold the Luce.
He going to get the custom made wheel adapter template from his and send it to me.
Hopefully I can do some work to make it look like the golden one.
It been lowered quite a bit.
