Bugger all has changed on the car but got a sexy set of rims that I need to find someone to make new outers for and everything to convert it to manual sitting in my room, but can't trust half my mates in the back seat let alone with a spanner so getting it all put in is going to take a while.
Also tracked down a mark II badge, just need to get it changed on the rego ticket.

Not that there's a lot to discuss but anyway. http://oldschool.co....s-gx61-mark-ii/

Alright here goes, This is my first project car not overly sure what I'm doing but that's all part of the fun ( I hope). Just a warning There won't be anything major happening until the speedway seasons over which could be whenever the car decides to throw a leg out of bed.
As it sits now its pretty much standard, apart from sitting on what appears to be ever so slightly cut springs. Really want to get the outside tidied up first, One rear quarter seems to have a bit of bog which thankfully was all I could find and considering I think I got it relatively cheap I wasn't about to lose sleep over it.
This is about the only pic I have, cellphone quality but there's not a lot to show at the moment.

I went halves in a set, haven't been game enough to use them yet. Not really sure what im doing and the fact I don't want to make a mess of my guards and not be able to replace them. is it a relatively simple process? I'm guessing being patient is the best thing to do with them?

Whats the best way to lower one of these beasts? ,
What other spring/shock combos will fit? want to get adjusties but that's out of the budget at the moment. Was told that gx71 is roughly based on the same chassis can anyone confirm this?

Thanks, Saw that thread when I first got the car thought I'd never find it again.
I'm planning to get the exterior done first unless panels have become worth there weight in gold.

Alright I'm new here so take it easy, Attempted a search but just ended up getting lost.
I recently got myself a reasonably tidy gx61 Cressida Grande for what I think was a good price, And am planning on dropping a JZ in it with a manual box behind it(obviously) but am not really sure whats going to be the most efficient way to do it. I'm not looking to just do it on the cheap and have problems but its not going to hit the track and break records and the bank.
Also wanting to put "Adjusties" all round and I have been told that a setup for an AE86 is reasonably straight forward, anyone here know if this is correct or if there's a better way?
Finally... Parts, Ive asked around everywhere/everyone I know and can't find anything, I'm hoping by coming here things might change.
Might Create a project thread once I get some movement happening and decide I can handle the abuse .

That Merc just popped up on facebook for sale again, looks like the owners recovered it finally.
