Alright, Currently running a 1ggeu with some form of w series box and a 3.909 (F312) diff. But its like trying to take off in 2nd/3rd could easily cruise around town in 1st if I was deaf. What sort of options are around? Guessing I need to go higher?
*EDIT* Just chucked some numbers in a gear ratio calculator and something doesn't add up, tried all the w series 1st ratios and seem to be out by 30km/h with the diff ratio written on the tag :/.

No pictures, lost the cable to my camera but it passed its wof with flying colors, could not be more stoked . Now I need to write up a shopping list to get it lower, wider and louder. Possibly even another 1ggeu, to slowly rebuild and slam a set of itbs on or just cheat and go for a filthy + T with a side of detonation.

Sweet thanks guys, will get onto it. Wheels look so empty without them.

As the title says, Have no idea where to go for this kind of thing as they have a bubbly top and need to have some maaaaad sticking powers. Can make up my own vector of them if Its going to save me $$.

Go all out and slap a single rotor on it.

Just did a google pic search and does look like there is supposed to be a plug into the intake(or it could just be the positive side for the p/s pump). Might just pop the lid off the ecu and have a look.
-
Going from memory theirs 2 rectangle plugs into the thermostat and 1 single male pin coming out, will check for a bolt somewhere around that area tomorrow and grab some pictures of the ecu + plug for you.
-
They end up just after the thermostat/pump. Will check tomorrow for a part number.

Thanks, just solved 2/3 things. Just can't work out where that water temp probe goes, engine doesn't piss water out anywhere and where the wires sit there doesn't look to be anything where it could screw in.
-
Will add to this as I find things that I can't work.
First up is vacuum lines for the tvis, got it hooked up but think its constantly open. if someone could explain or chuck up a drawing in paint of how its meant to be would be mint.Secondly where can I get water temp from? theres a single plug and wire coming from the front of the pump but don't want to just got casually plugging it into my dash wiring.
Thirdly have a mysterious plug that broke off pulling the loom out of the box after getting it stripped out and have no idea where it screws into or what it does.

Whats the big auto sparky bill for?
Edit : Actually read the thread. Shouldn't be to hard to tidy up yourself? There is a couple of people on here that are quite clued up on 1gge's so if you want help then chuck up a good discription and some pic's and maybe everyone can help?
Thought a few times about doing that, but trying to explain it isn't exactly my strong point lol. Will grab some pics of what I've got and try explain tomorrow night.

Probably won't bother with a trust manifold, my set seems to similar to fork out the cash just build a nice stainless straight pipe off the back of them. Add to the fact I sense a big auto sparky bill in the near future so my coins will be almost non existent lol.

Took it round the block once it got dark tonight, damn what a sound that 1ggeu makes. Just need to get the last of the gauges and heater working, which is all beyond me and my test light lol.

Got the rev counter and alternator hooked up but the charge light stays lit, have the sensor from alternator to the cars sensor wire, lamp from alternator to lamp+ignition from car and ignition from alternator to nothing.
regarding the oil gauge issue. the sensor in the new motor will be working on a different scale to the original motor hence not reading on the gauge. Get a new sender and take the one you are currently using into a brass fitting shop. you can generally get fittings to interchange if the don't just screw in to start with.
this should fix your gauge issue with that
Got another sender and had it re threaded as Toyota decided to use a different bit of the scale. Just need to find what wire comes from the dash, along with how the old motor got the water temp.
This is a common fault when doing a 1gge into a gx61. Dont ask me how to fix it though lol
Doesn't help there's almost nothing on the cars/engines around the internet lol. Ryan Fels? as in Eagle Mask jzx61 Ryan Fels? (lets out girlish scream)

Just remembered I still haven't hooked up the alternator so that could be the problem (face palm). But the loom for the engine was stripped down and sent back to me with 3 wires to get it running. Got most of the sensors that are still there hooked up. had to run another oil gauge, couldn't get either of the original ones to work.
But will try hook the alternator up tomorrow, have to rewire it from an old rectangle 2 pin plug to a circle 3 pin plug. Thanks guys, probably would have forgotten to wire it up and wondered why I always had a flat battery lol.

How do i get the car to know the engines running? all the lights on the dash stay lit up like you've just turned the key to on. Thinking its something to do with the tach? still haven't got it receiving a signal tho.
Toyota gx61 Mk II, running 1ggeu from supra.

Can see that sounding amazing lol. got all the vacuum lines sorted tonight, runs 100X smoother, but think my tvis is working backwards if thats possible.
-
Will keep the valance for now, might get tempted to bolt it on one day.
Yup, exhaust is next on the list. Just need to decide what to do.
-
Finally it runs, just need to finish capping vacuum lines and clean up the mess I made with the wiring(to ashamed to put the picture of it up).

Can't remember where the invoice went but was about 380 air freighted for the spoiler and the valance (to scared to run on chch roads) and a few other little things.
Those trust headers look nice still want to get a set, looks like the will fit a bit better around the engine bay.

The guy I brought the engine off, where made for 1geu (I think) so had to change the flange and mongrel them up a little bit. can get sets off yahoo japan tho they are a bit pricey.
-
Lost interest for a bit but got it into the garage for the last push to get it going, got my wheels cleaned up and powder coated, and almost everything else is done just need the distributo and a couple of wires hooked up. Excuse the high riding, spring are all out of wack after jacking it up lol

"This would encourage more people to scrap their older cars as a 15-year-old car could be worth about $500 under the scheme."
Only quickly skimmed through it this made me excited, My car would be worth more than I payed for it lol.

Is that you Toddy?
