used to have a single 45mm on an old escort i had, used a manifold that stepped up a bit.

no need to remove the booster, and easier to tune.

had heaps more low down and mid range than the twin 40s that were on it.

is that a 45mm single sidedraft?

Other options are:

1) Lower the brake booster by about 50mm or

2) Buy a 1300 manifold from Palmside as this allows the carbs to sit above the booster - still close though.

Both options probably wont allow an air filter but individual socks work
