  1. I'm in Hamilton, yeah pick a part could be worth a go, apparently most corollas are screw type fitment, but some (mine) are crappy plastic clip in style,

take the passengers one out put it in the drivers position. then proceed to remove the passengers one all together. only need a drivers one for a wof?

also just make one fit out of any kinda corolla?

I had thought of this, but it is quite a pain being broken, falling down etc,

    Looks like this:

  2. Hi people,

My stupid 2001 Toyota Corolla Fielder wagon failed its wof because of a broken drivers side sun visor, its the plastic clip that attaches it to the roof which is actually broken. I tried a couple of wreckers without any luck, and the Toyota dealer parts guy wants $210 for a new one (the whole visor and clip as one unit).

Are there any Toyota parts people on here that could help, get a better price etc,

    Part number is 74310-1e600-b0

    Cheers.

  3. Hi there,

The other day when I was driving my 83 Mazda B1600 ute, as I was turning the horn got stuck on, so i pulled over and disconected it, problem temporary fixed.

I later pulled off the steering wheel to try and figure out the problem, I found that the wire from the horn button had ripped away from the copper ring that engages the horn.

I solided it back on, put everything back together, pretty easy I thought, but then tested it out and nothing, no noise at all.

Im pretty crap at electronics & stuff, dont really even how the whole horn set up works, any Ideas?

Yes I have checked the fuse, and yes I have tested the horn its self, no problems there.

So I'm pretty stuck now. Do these have relays? had a look, couldn't find any?

    Any help most appreciated,

    Cheers.

  5. I finally got around to removing all the sound deadening crap from the floor (what a mission that was) and primering all the inside. Im also busy with the engine bay, welding up most of the holes etc and getting ready for prime then paint.

  7. Discussion http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=34427

Hi all, This is my current project, brought off Trademe back in Aug 2010, I took abit of a chance in buying it as I only had a few pics of it (car was in Fielding and Im in Hamilton) but when it arrived on the truck, the body looked to be in pretty good shape, very little rust that I could see.

Then I stripped it right back to steel with good old tergo strip, etch primering as I go. Have been stoked with the lack of rust I've found, a few small bits here and there, have welded most of them up though.

Found some custom RX4 5 stud hubs on trademe to go on my coilovers, also made a car trolley on castors (as you can see in the pics) which makes life alot easier in a smalish garage
