What's a estimate to get a cert? Would like to get onto it ASAP as I want a nice legal car I don't like the fact it's illegal
-
It has a warrant sticker till sept n rego runs out this week, hey that's okay it's good to learn things about your car especially with new ones, it looks to have been done really well so I don't think cert will be a big issue just some $$
-
Do you think I will have issues at warrant time ? I will need to get it certified ?
-
That picture maxted posted before of it on rewinds is the same car car jam says plates were changed in oct 2012
-
I will check tomorrow is there any other ways to find out if its been converted or not? Had it on hoist today it all looks very clean and tidy underneath
-
I was told it was factory turbo? Could be wrong it does have a red engine bay tell me more about this car
-
Yes was on trademe for a while not sure why it didn't sell it is fricken immaculate runs like a dream too... For now have gone with the 15s still haven't got tyres for the mk2s yet but I think I'll keep them for my Datsun
-
Today I replaced the alt belt and the power steer one as they were pretty rooted, also put on the 15s they suit it nicely I reckon
15x8s +20 brand new
195/50/15s brand new
Was driving from Nelson to blenheim today and was just about in havelock and for some reason the accelerator cable jammed on something and I was going about 115ks and the car started to red line and I panicked and tried to brake but the car kept on wanting to speed up so I turned off the ignition and braked into side of road, was very lucky because it was pouring rain and I was on a straight and not a corner, popped the hood and un jammed it and was on my way again couple of cable ties for a temp fix until I got home, very releaved! Other than that the car runs really good and handles nice noticed it has full new notholane bushes throughout suspension which is good

Ill double check measurements, but thank you for the help!

I've thought of that but apparently it's expensive to get a mag shop to do? As I wouldn't want to ruin them by doing it myself

Hi Guys,
Im having trouble sourcing some wheel nuts for my ssr mk 2's. Apparently thet require a M12 x 1.5 pitch shank nut with a shank OD of 17mm.
The pic below explains.
Who on this forum runs SSR mk 2's or similar and where did they source their wheel nuts from. I have been told that i need to get them custom made as they are extremenly hard to find and only sold in japan.
Cheers for your help.

Wheels are here, no description needed enjoy the photobomb
Ended up going with 13s as the 14s sold 13x6.5 and 13x7 fit really good just need some new wheel nuts to fit??
Can't wait till she's done!!!!

oh i forgot to put an update in for that, had all the rust removed, will get pics when im with the car next, the usual spots like the bottom of the doors, sills, top of screen had a patch, was all cut out and new metal was welded in rust proofed and primerd, been through 2 warrents with no worries before i got rust done, just wanted to get it perfect before p&p wasn't too much rust anyway no where near as much as the old mx73 i used to own
-
a15 was pretty straight forward nice wee upgrade, just need to change the exhaust flange as the a15 manifold has 3 studs and the a12 has 2 i just cut and welded the a15 one onto the a12 exhaust, sedan grille is exactly same as factory grille, and with the chin spoiler yes it did just mocked it up and then drilled 6 small holes was a mk1 vw golf chin spoiler by memory

Hi guys have posted a thread before but it was all messy so have decided to post a new one
Discus please: //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/38238-damz-vb210-wagon-discussion/
This is a quick overview of what i have done to the car over the last 6-8 months
Here is some pics of it the day i got it came with no wof/reg on hold, got it road legal and used it as a daily
Then decided to put an a15 in place of the a12
Added some fender mirrors, a duckbill spoiler and gave the grill a paint and a got a NOS badge from ebay
The grille didn't last long as i found a sedan grille that i liked a lot better
Sourced a 5-speed off trademe
Made a x-member out of a r32 skyline x-member, did my best not the most awesome fab skills as i am only learning but it will do. Stoked with the revs at 100kms dropping from 3.5 to 2.5
Decided it was time to lower the front
Used b310 strut tops and cut one coil dropped it 40mm
Before
After
Sits slightly lower now after driving it around
And last week i started pulling bits and pieces off the old girl so she could get a 'wee' makeover
Is now currently in the tedious process of getting it panelled for a full respray engine bay inside boot door jams etc..Am going to paint the window frames black
Also this photo here gives a indication of the colour it will be for those interested
Got a bit excited with the whole makeover thingy so decided to get these
They are en-route to New Zealand will take around 60-90 days though
13x6.5/7s Ssr MKII's
That is all for now, stay tuned for pics of panel&paint once that is complete and wheels have arrived i will look at engine modifications -
+1 ^ the colour suits the wee datto nicely, cool collection of cars too
-
