old gm stuff does the same things with the brake masters. The first time it happened to me i was pumping the pedal to bleed the system and didnt have the cap on, though it was fucked but turns out theyre ment to.
Is it possible yours is the same? does the cap have/used to have a rubber seal on it to stop it leaking? or just a regular cap?

i got my ssr meshs 15x8s and 8.5s for a sweet $200 just because they were a weird stud pattern. my car is now 4x130 (from 114.3).
stud patterns are pretty easy to get around

most people seem to alter the hole in the pedal where the pushrod slots into in relation to the pivot point of the pedal to allow more leverage.
that being said ive never been down that path so have zero real life experience
-
ride it. its not a race preped engine with crazy tolerences that will be getting pushed to its limits, just ride it round like normal and remember to keep the oil topped up (trust me as ive made that mistake once before!)

Yea il make up some camber plates at work in auckland. yea i want to look into rose jointing them, but not sure how they are for certing?? i know the guards will need some serious shit haha.
pretty easy to cert, just have to have the arms crack tested and some paperwork on the rosejoints. The fancy teflon lined ones are best.
Ive got same size wheels on the front of mine with 185/55s. Have extended my lcas by 30mm and have maxed out my camber plates. Oh and rolled the shit out of my guards. For the rear i will have to make new guards.
my LCAs ended up about 20mm shorter and tophats right in to keep the wheels inside the guards without ridiculous camber
-
if you make your lower arms adjustable and have adjustable top hats, you can just pull your track in to help clear guards

For some reason I can picture you cranking that "fancy" song while laying frame in your driveway!

mild porting. nothing silly, just open it up a little. mainly because youll always wish you had if you dont

original stuff is always worth more, but you probably wouldnt be on this forum if you really believed that/cared.
i dont think the money you could potentially make while riding it standard will ever come close to fun youll have modifying, tinkering and riding it as your own would bring. The bikes no rx3 that will be worth mega bucks later on, more like an Escort/Datsun/Corolla.... worth more and more as time goes by but still relatively common

we use max wildermoth down st asaph st. turnaround on work is pretty good

check all vacuum hoses, replace them if the've gone hard as the tiniest cracks can cause all sorts of dramas and can sometimes be hard to spot. You wouldn't believe how many cars i have to do this on at work
-
what exactly are you looking to buy? id recommend importing american cars from japan as compliance is a lot more simple and surprisingly theres a shit load of 1980s+ cars there. Freight is a lot less and considering how many Japanese cars come to NZ, it wouldnt be hard to find someone over there who can take care of it from start to finish (checking it out, organizing domestic transportation, ect)

So i have just acquired a ITB setup for the LS1.
Has been made up out of 2 sets of 20V 4age throttles.
Doesnt come with the trumpets however.
Where can i find trumpets/filter socks from for these throttle? Recommendations.
Is this setup shown in the start of the vid in the bonnet shot minus the trumpets.
pretty sure he went back to the standard intake manifold as the 4age ITBs werent big enough to keep up with the engine, made more power up top with factory setup.
will find out more soon...

i had them in mine. the spring perch's are a bigger OD at the bottom, only issue i had

"vintage" car parts are exempt. Companies like Techno Toy Tuning mark their goods as vintage car parts which helps their international customers avoid duty.

did you take the van in with its regular load? if its a work van full of tools/gear and you take them out because you need them for a job that day, when you put everything back in its going to change things quite a bit.
Always get work vans/utes a wheel alignment with them loaded up with its normal weight
-
pretty sure its the same as regular cars
