the porch is being a bitch again this week, but i (think) i know what the issue is, so providing all goes well this time i will drag out a camera or ten and come for a ride

Hiya,
Thought this would be a good place to start looking... i'm after some cheap rims, they don't need to be flash...

Bannockburn... no,
(well i do have some old film stuff but god knows where that is at the moment). Ironic as that is by far my favorate part of the entire south island...
and @ QCADTA, no plans in the immediate future to go that far south, but definately a dunedin trip or 2 this year

Fellow Ch-ch-ian's
I have my own photography company and since last feb things have been a bit... quiet, So.... I have shitcanned all my work except my good commercial clients, (councils, St Johns, Fire, Big retail outlets etc)
Turns out, that leaves me a bit of time, but not a lot of beer money...
I have (i think) a solution...
If you want some pics of your ol' skool ride drop me a message and i recon i could shoot a set for you (digi) for a dozen ice cold beers!!, or if you prefer the awesomeness of medium format film include some film money, cost only (don't forget beer).
Good plan?, if your into it, drop me a message
heres some pics
I hope this is not a breach of the sites rules.... if so i apologise... just trying to keep the fridge full without spending precious poor-sche repair moneys...

definately keen...
(apparantly) mine started out at 125Hp, fairly confident it should easily make 80 now... (on a good day, if it starts, with clean fuel, radio off, tounge in right spot, after a prayer or 3....)

Gutted that i missed it... Porch all fueled up (oil change even) and then the cheif got mighty sickly and i had to stay at home..... from the pics, looks like some awesome rides....

fore shore!
I take it you are into 924s? I might have to bring fat robert, he has a 924 racecar, as well as a couple of donor cars
More into classic rally.... but wife / budget says NO!...
after buying the 924, i now know why (fat?) Robert has a couple of donors
I actually read your build thread last night.... mighty effort!!

If nobody minds (and if it is one of the rare occasions when the car actually starts and lets me drive it) i may tag along?, may even bring a camera or 3......

I wouldn't write off the Audi straight away.... 1.8 20V Quattro goes really well and isn't a front skidder... and having owned several Audi's i can assure you servicing / parts are cheap on the older ones... and we even used to do our servicing at the dealer.
Alfa is definately the better looking car but i find the manuals clunky and the they have the turning circle of the titanic.
Golf?.... cool in the 70's maybe....
Ever thought about a 320/325?
fast, fun, dead cheap, driving wheels a the right end and very reliable

Hiya...
James here from Chur chur
I have a 1982 Porsche 924, completely standard and as you can imagine it needs to say that way for resale reasons... BUT i am also looking at an SR coupe rally car, or Nissan Bluebird Rally car.
My first car was a '82 Pillerless SSS bluebird so if any one has one witing round looking for a new home, i'd be keen to hear about it.
Anywho, heres a pic of my 924
is there a pick a part in christchurch
in South Island Region
