Dave -Max- Giovanni Posted July 30 Posted July 30 I have a 1974 Ford Falcon, and I'm putting on the chrome trim/molding piece that goes on the top of the door. I'm kinda stumped as to exactly how it gets put on. I assume that's how the clips go, with the wide part facing up and the pointy end facing forward (I know they're facing to the rear in the pic). But does the trim slide on from the back? I tried that and I got a lot of resistance so I stopped. Does it get snapped on all at once by pushing downwards? Any help would be appreciated. Quote
rivalrx Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Oh I think that you put one side in and clip the other side down pressing firmly. Quote
Dave -Max- Giovanni Posted July 30 Author Posted July 30 rivalrx, thank you. Would you happen to know which way the clips should face? Quote
rivalrx Posted July 31 Posted July 31 That one in the photo appears correct as far as I can tell. the inside of the trim should have a lip. Locate that in one side of the clips and the. Firmly press down in the location above the plastic clips. Should pop in and locate. I pulled my sill trim off and it’s similar to that I believe. cheers mayson Quote
rivalrx Posted August 1 Posted August 1 No worries. It’s a short sharp manoeuvre to clip on. Not slow ease it on. Use the palm of your hand and should pop on Quote
