EmmyWest Posted October 13, 2025 Author Posted October 13, 2025 I had upgraded the factory lifan carb to a nibbi, and after lots of effort and troubleshooting to make it fit, it runs so well. definitely notice the power difference! 4 Quote

EmmyWest Posted October 13, 2025 Author Posted October 13, 2025 That same weekend there was a classic bike show on at Barber Hall at arena Manawatu. Luckily the kind old buggers let this jap crap in. So i fit the Honda in the back of a Honda Fit and left it with them to set it up for the weekend. Went and visited the show on the saturday and stood back and watched while lots of people twice my age twisted their head at the monstrosity I brought there. again, a rewarding feeling. 8 Quote
EmmyWest Posted October 13, 2025 Author Posted October 13, 2025 After the bike show I started work on making a much shorter seat for the bike. as i hate how tall the repro one is. it raises the height profile of the bike far too much. So i started with a bit of wood. got to throwing some fibreglass around it. its okay. Lots to trim and work on but that's about where i'm up to currently. 2 Quote
Popular Post EmmyWest Posted October 13, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted October 13, 2025 Motivation comes and goes with this. Like many of us, being split between multiple projects, work and family, its often hard to get to it sometimes. Im also currently in a war with the wiring, recently decided to try get it fully wired up to run all lights and indicators etc,But i'm an absolute novice when it comes to that so its taking a lot longer than expected. That's fine though, in no major rush 😎 11 1 Quote
EmmyWest Posted July 5 Author Posted July 5 Took the Chal to cars and coffee with the bro who recently got this 140 swapped z50. went for a rip around town. realised my rear sprocket has some major play. put it up on the strops and took it apart. missing a circlip. Must've never been in there. lost some metal on the swing arm so lucky i spotted it early. ish.. Rear wheel bearings are toast because of it too. We will rebuild! 7 Quote
