Muncie Posted December 27, 2025 Posted December 27, 2025 It very definitely had vacuum leaks was showing up in Logs on tunerpro and this was easiest way of getting rid of it as it was already made up for when I take my car for WOF'S. No more major vacuum leak but im not sold on it running better than before. Quote
zach_munce Posted December 28, 2025 Author Posted December 28, 2025 It relies on the air box that is now missing will find a solution but im not fussed at the moment 8 hours ago, Bearded Baldy said: Oh it makes a difference. Just a negative one. Put the lower airbox and ducting back in, will direct some cooler air towards it. Quote

zach_munce Posted December 29, 2025 Author Posted December 29, 2025 Wasn’t actually that bad i just took my rotor off adjusted it but the shoe actually shifts to the side so u just push it back then out the caliper in and boom was pretty easy Quote

jakesae101 Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 They work well once adjusted for a small period of time, the shoes are a pain in the ass to get on and off. And the adjuster can fit in backwards and half work as I discovered when I put one in backwards and you will get limited holding ability and it will still adjust manually. I spent way too long working out why it would kind of hold one side but not enough to torque up the wheel nuts! 1 Quote

Bearded Baldy Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 May as well buy an ignition barrel kit with your next savings, have done dozens of those over the years. And they never break on a day where the weather is good and you have nothing planned. 1 Quote

ajg193 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Mate, what are you doing? At that price I would be knocking down the doors of the nearest money lender and buying that fine specimen right away. There's no way you could get more car for your money and to top it off that is an appreciating classic. You couldn't possibly go wrong. Just imagine the pure joy you will get from the big V8 burbling away at traffic lights. 1 6 Quote
