felixx Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 I noticed yesterday this bike has a miss at 95kmh plus, like a wee missfire. I changed the plug and its less but there I guess I am reaching the limits of my coil/ ignition system The new Nibbi Carb is allowing it to rev out higher in 4th and thats when the issue is apparent I doubt is is a fuel / float issue as the Carb is bigger (22mm vs 19) and its only a 110cc and a different plug (NGK Vs Chinesium) reduced it I have scooter safari tomorrow so dont want to tear her down, I will throw the 19mm in my tool box for the ride incase it gets worse on the day Quote

The original fuel valve wasnt able to supply enough using the vacuum diaphragm so I just set it to prime (where it just free flows) and it fixed it. May be worth checking you are getting enough fuel at high rpm? Probably not your issue given spark plug seems to have helped but just throwing it out there 1 Quote
felixx Posted May 27 Author Posted May 27 @Beaver the tap I have is just a tap, no vacuum, but yes I remember those woes with the fa50 Right now the lights only work when the bars ate between 10 and 20 degrees right of centre, so I rode the FR50 today and will find the loose connection tonight Its a funny old world with these things 2 Quote
felixx Posted May 29 Author Posted May 29 Well i fixed the light @mo999 noticed my exhaust had melted the rubber on my ht lead.. was likely shorting. Cable tie to hold it off zorst helped a lot 1 Quote
