RUNAMUCK Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 A meeting was held this afternoon to rattle out a number of the nuts and bolts/logistics of supplies etc for this ride. (BBQ supplies, drinks, etc ) There's going to be a metric fuck ton of stuff. Everybody who's registered should have received an Email from Karl a short time.ago. Please read it, and reply as soon as you're able, so we can update the spreadsheet. This isn't far away now! Getting pretty fizzed up for it!! 3 Quote
RUNAMUCK Posted February 1 Author Posted February 1 Kinda feels like me talking to myself in here. How's everyone's bike progress going? How about some pictures? Here's my disc brake conversion underway. 3 1 1 Quote

With your fuel injection and ellecy start, you’re only one step away from a Flash Harry. I’m still not sure what bike I’m bringing. The guy in Dunedin still has my good CT putting the big bore kit in it. He knows I need it, and it’s been 6 months now…. 1 Quote

Gyrocket Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Well the gizzy lads unorganization bites us again Didn't realize the ferry would be so booked There's only spots for motorcycles not cars so there may well be 5 very pesty not so roadworthy vehicles trying to ride from Picton to the starting point 😂 FFS we have a Honda mb100 registered as a 50 A unregistered cb125t My postie with a 212 registered as a 50 A c50 that's been blended with a thumpstar frame And an actually reliable Honda xlr125  Casually adding 1300km ish to the ride is going to be testing for the China motors Part of it I guess I will say tho if anyone is driving from Picton ish and has room on a trailer I'd say there's gizzy fellas keen to chip in on ya gas bill 6 1 1 Quote

Would it be feasible to rent a large van or something in Picton to get them to Christchurch? We might be able to arrange a large trailer to get the bikes to the starting point. (And back afterwards) Then you could do the same.back to picton?  Quote

RUNAMUCK Posted February 1 Author Posted February 1 The speedo being so high on the NBC is what makes things hard. I guess the bars must be a wee bit higher too? 1 Quote

Yeah, looking at yours I think my bars are definitely lower. These have a lower Speedo mount too. ENDURANCE : Stainless Handlebar [YJEKWV531A1] https://share.google/ISAiLJy02DqZhsZwI Quote
Willdat? Posted February 2 Posted February 2 @RUNAMUCKÂ it's just that plate that you really want, not a particularly nasty thing to fabricate. Quote
RUNAMUCK Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 The stock.NBC bars have a cross brace which the instrument cluster afixes to. This makes lowering it more difficult. /a <$20 aliexpress cable is less admin. Quote
