AIGHT, quick little update as fuck all has been done recently due to a bad case of the busy. but all the oil has remained in the sump that i know of, but we have more problems. i know... shock and horror

NEXT on the to do list is stopping it from running so ungodly rich, like so rich that i pulled up next to a GRUBBY SV6 commy and the driver had the audacity to make the stinky gesture too me....which was completely fair. now first place to look would be the o2 sensor right? because all the forums i read dictate so. BUT ALAS mine does not have such a amazing device. and i have no idea why, everyone else has one.... WHY CANT I. im happy enough to weld one in but god knows where to plumb the wires (please help on the discussion thread if you have a idea)

in the meanwhile i dicked around with the MAF, which was probably as effective as a gorilla with a flat head and a stethoscope. but i mean i managed to lean it a lil bit and it still sounded healthy. but the delecious smell of 95 still wofts into the cabin. i will be getting a AFR gauge and somepoint soon so i dont lean it out and blow a hole in a piston. but they are spendy as FUCKKKKKK. so if anyone has any laying around i would love to buy one.

next on the cards is getting it a wof again so i can stop looking over my shoulder for a green sticker waving in my direction on my ways to work.

and any advice please let me know!

i shall leave you with some pictures of me redoing the carpets and a picture i took of the maf cause it looks funky :3

EDIT, Photos arent uploading for some reason

Disaster has struck again, my extremely reliable toyota has become not that, after replacing the spark plugs i noticed the previous owner left a surprise for me in ciylinder 6, a spark plug wrapped in thread tap, now why would you need thread tape on your spark plug...... could do with the fact the threads in the head are completly gone..besides one single thread holding onto my 5m's hopes and dreams. but its about time she gave up the ghost, the rings are starting to go, the fuel injectors are still stock for 40 years ago, all the pullies and whining and seized on and for 390,000kms the old girl has done very well for the thrashing its recieved.

so for the next couple of weeks, the engine bay will be getting emptyed cleaned (along side my wallet), and preped for a future endevor. a 7mgte is hopfully what will be replacing the 5mge. period correct, still m series, and churbo. please offer any advice or input or past experiences youve had with such motors.

(if anyone has a 7mgte laying around, dont mind the condition as i want to have a go rebuiding a motor please hit me up in the discussion that duddly opened)

to leave you all, i give the final image i have of her while she was running next to the bros landy. along side milo the dog.

for now the cressi may rest in peace, but she shall be thrashed again another day.

Update on the cressi. The 5m is still alive.

after fixing most of the legality issues, boring bushes tie rods blah blah, i sent her in for its first yearly wof, passed first go. so i did the only logical thing and proceded to rip apart the motor and gut the interior for a spruce up and make it undrivable.

now that ive got the head issue fixed and my sparkplugs are both sparking and plugging, ive turned my attention to the fuel leaking where it shouldnt be issues and brand new oil leaks 🤩 (rockercovers, and the distributor O ring), first the fuel. after ripping the rail off and apart i found all my rubber seals on my injectors turned into VERY VERY HARD rubber seals and were borderline imposible to get off. but after a bunch of searching i found some oem ones in japan so i have a full set on the way. and also replaced the rocker cover seals with nice blue ones which go well with my newly painted covers

oh also big update, there is now a turbo and manifold waiting for install, Got a oil tee in the block for a pressure sensor and a turbo feed, need to fab a downpipe to dodge the steering colum

gutted the interior, going to source some new front seats, hopefully some Evo recaros or similar, and going to do some experimenting with a different rear seat, wanting somthing couchy esk, might do some measuring and find a c33 laurel rear seats and see what i can do with those. wanting the couch but sporty aspect for my rear passengers. dyed the boot and parcel shelf black to hide all the ugly stains and make the interior one clean colour

forgot to mention i put bonnet mirros on cause why not, and ive persued getting coil overs they are sitting in my shed waiting for funds to be sent to VJDcerts to be sorted, but waiting for turbo to be complete to get everything done at once

after a couple parts if anyone has spares i can buy off em or recomendations for where to grab stuff.

CT26 turbo (7mgte and 1hdt turbo), 1/8th npt fittings/oil lines, 3inch exhaust piping stainless (enough for a dump pipe),

Update on the cressida, after a bunch of not working on the car, i have ripped the 5mge out. Gone burgers. engine bay has been mostly stripped, dumb faulty cruise control vacum pumps are in the bin and shes looking empty.

Ive finaly made up my mind on what im going to do with it, R154 and a 1JZgte Non VVTI, ive got the manual pedals ready and master cylinder, brought a haltech elite 2500 off a workmate for a steal. (and hes also make me a MEKE custom Loom).

all im missing is the heart and transmission.....(and fuel pump, fuel reg, rad, powersteering relocation, etc)

other items, ive recently slapped in BC coilovers front and rear, fronts were welded to the knuckles by SUSPESION TECH with crack cert which is lovely. got a fresh custom wheel from Jeffs Emporium which looks sick.

next step is tucking the wires in the engine bay and riping the dash out so i can remove a bunch of excess wires i dont need anymore. and trace some back.

enjine is up for grabs, flick me a offer and its yours, other wise its going to scrapys next week
