A build thread? From Dudley? You feeling alright, must have gotten laid or something today?

Can confirm super good wee car. Got to hoon it round the block. Took me back time when I was 16 and me and da bois were baseball bat guard rolling these things to fit spittys and eagers with no springs.

I'm disappointed you didn't add pics of the super ultra mega fucked parts bugeye you ferals drove back.

Glad you rescued this. Much love for the round eye. Any tips on setting up a 5k with a 32/36? Mate owns my old kp61 and it's always been a bit flat. He drives like a pussy so I swear it runs worse than ever now. I never got around to having a good tutu before I sold it but I recall that when you cracked the choke it would find another 1000rpm. Normally it falls off a cliff at 5k rpm and it feels generally pretty slow. Certainly not the 81hp of thunder you are wrestling. I need to go through dizzy advance etc I think as well as jetting. Any starting points on jets appreciated, but perhaps we should get an afr gauge for it?

blue stock head.  red ported head.    just needs that cam upgrade to keep zinging.

Haha geez, its like you had to weld half the car back in.

Good job on saving it! A lesser man would have thrown the towel in

I think the 32-36 is pretty big on a lil 5k

i had a 28/36 dcd of a gt cortina and it was pretty well suited, I’ll have the jet and choke sizes written down somewhere

Yeah I cannot stress how much of a dick the previous owner was to butcher a really good shell like this, I had no idea how he thought any of it could get the car on the road one day

This is what I was running, was a bit rich down low so I had a 40 & 45 primary idle jet to try out but never got around to it

Honestly not bad going for the trusty ol 4k.

I saw you driving this a few months back when i was up north. Looked super sweet!

A++ would creepily admire from afar, again

I think with some good headers and degreeing the cam in it might get past the 100hp mark, or just find a dyno that reads higher then the g4a one

10kw improvement top ends a good effort for the mightly 5k, do you notice the power drop in the mid/lower end? via the butt dyno/driveablity?

Nah drives the same as before just has a bit more go when you punch it, that dip is where it goes mega rich with the .5 e tubes, it’s sorta when the idle circuit transitions to the main jet circuit, I have some .6 tubes which should solve that, but everytime I drive them they just drive super yuck
