felixx Posted February 10, 2025 Author Posted February 10, 2025 As the bars have switches I HOPE the Tas may have had a plate in the past.. Better find out, then get a plate on it 1 Quote
felixx Posted October 4, 2025 Author Posted October 4, 2025 So after getting the F50, Z50r and C100 going its time to work on this. Its been sitting a while in my shed and I think the carb is gunked up I can kick and kick it and It wont fire up even tho it has spark It has an A50 motor. The carb is inside the engine. How does one get it out to clean it?? Cheers Quote
Beaver Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Take side cover off. Undo bolt holding carb on using the hole in the engine case to get screw driver in. Slide carb off 1 Quote
felixx Posted October 4, 2025 Author Posted October 4, 2025 Epic.. time to soak carb in kero overnight then toothbrush it. Poke fuse wire thru jets and see what happens Quote
felixx Posted October 5, 2025 Author Posted October 5, 2025 Cleaned the carb. Reassembled. Doesnt start. I will get a mate to run it through an ultrasonic cleaner just in case... 2 Quote
felixx Posted June 8 Author Posted June 8 Last weekend I began to tidy the garage and wheeled this out. @Hunterkiwi01 had faffed about with it the week before for me (removed engine brace and juggled the spark plug boot) It started 3rd kick, ran for 30s and died. Once I get the slugs Gremlins sorted, this will get headlights and a tail light. It appears there is an indicator swicth (with wires) which will allow me to enjoy 2 stroke life with @Hunterkiwi01 and 'his' FR50. Cunning Lil bugger sold his FR50 to a mate who stores it at ours so he can come on group rides (but never has) and told him to take it out for a ride now and then to stop it chooching up from sitting. The owner came by on Saturday to look at his bike and @Hunterkiwi01 had taken it to his mates up the road to help him do an exhaust swap for his CT, but he can show you how thats gonna look on his C100 (It is sick as fuck) 1 Quote
Tumeke Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Can't tell by your photos but there should be a rubber cover over the top of the carb that the cables go through. The carb won't run or run properly without this installed as it will be wayyy to lean. 4 Quote
felixx Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 @Tumeke thanks boss.. better get fabbing something until I can find a real one 1 Quote
Raizer Posted June 9 Posted June 9 https://www.cmsnl.com/products/covercarburetor-top_1144027201/ Pretty sure I paid closer to $30NZ for one from Webike using their genuine parts look up, but that was a while ago. 2 Quote
Tumeke Posted June 9 Posted June 9 also once you have sorted this, check you have a oem-ish air filter and no leaks between. It might run without it, but you'll have a bad seize situation after a WOT blat. 2 Quote
