I see your head is the same as the one in my replacement engine, no coolant passage for the lower hose, so not much flow through the intake manifold plumbing. I presumed the pump was like that to give the option of not using the heater port. I'm guessing that red lines are for the heater and green for the manifold. Does anybody still use the manifold heater lines? Must have owned 10 old holdens and never saw them connected. 1 Quote
Nominal Posted June 29 Posted June 29 That's right. I don't see the manifold hoses doing much when one side is blocked off by the head. I still have mine connected. 1 Quote
CaMpylobacter Posted June 29 Posted June 29 I had issues with high speed running when I had my manifold hoses looped from carb icing up. bit of a bastard to make one of them clear the inner guard when hooking them up, though. 1 Quote
dmulally Posted June 30 Author Posted June 30 I guess all my old holden shenanigans were in the west island so the 3.2 days of winter a year werent really an issue. I'll get the thing running first and if it becomes a drama later. Land Rover heaters and I havent had the best relationship plus I dont have a roof yet so that can go on the back burner. 3 Quote
