And got these riverside stich wheels, 1st I pulled them apart to check my maximum fitment for new lipsThen imported lips from ssr hardware, pricey but worth it i think. Couldn't find any anywhere else, 

final fit with half decent 215 45tyres just for cruising on so i think its a good result and they fit great, could probably have done a bigger tyre in the rear but owell, would like to find another pair of chrome riversides for the front but mismatch will have to do right now.

Cut and polishnearly all done but need to give whole car a clean again and some finishing but there goes some decals ...2 days of sanding etc etc lots of clearcoat equals no burn through to base anywhere, except where i was a bit careless with buffer and cooked the paint but thats fixable... live and learn or something

Oldschool drags was fun, diddnt get to stay long because of other priorities but a good shakedown of the car and 13.1 best im pretty happy with that, was cool seeing some of the cars, now to see why my gearbox is not shifting right

Was going to do a tutorial how to rebuild a fc box but the factory manual is pretty good and pictures on disassembly is reccomended, shifter bushing was annihilated, then found one tight bearing with signs of rust on one of the main shafts, so got a bearing kit off mnm racing. I believe this is a s4 box with s5 gearset

Replaced all bearings inc input shaft, seals, and shifter bushing, just waiting to find a release bearing which is noisy and not in the best condition. The rest looked fine no damage to syncros, left the damper off the tail housing because its heavy? And also because I lost the ball bearing that's supposed to assemble it on there, will see if that is going to affect anything.hope its going to shift a bit better and its all clean inside with moly grease on new parts, pivot points etc

So I had some problems with 5th popping out while driving, turns out my shift fork for 5th was 180 degrees out and the 3 notches were not lining up with the ball and spring, flipped it back and should be fine now

Well its got good gearshift now 5th is staying in gear, went for a drive and all was good untill I hit a buisy intersection and i stalled it, would not start again, no starter luuuckily someone immediately helped me push it into a side street where I quickly figured the starter spade terminal had removed itself hahaha outta there in 1 minute pays to know your car

Finally managed to launch it properly, high revs and slipping clutch, hooked and got my pb for this car

I may have messed up something... smoking a bit now at idle hot or cold, oil in ports, so pulling it down to have a look 🙃, turbos good... im thinking oil control rings
