Yeh no shortage of options being 5x114 ...

No to 1 piece yeh buds ... please, just don't.

If you want something affordable-ish go for some factory rims off something modern? FD wheels?  Rx8 or mazda 6 to keep it in the mazda family.

Mazdaspeed if you're open to spending cash ...

Volk AV's often come up for sale.  not a bad looking 3 piece wheel.

Oem wheels are a ballache on a ute due to cert stuff

Can't use wheels from a donor vehicle with a lower GVM than the vehicle you are putting them on which rules out a lot of wheels on commercials

At least I guess B1600s don't weigh a lot.

This one was almost blew away in the wind.

half of the weight left with the original engine and the bed floor.

The problem is what it's rated to carry

And for some reason NZTA will not under any circumstances lower the GVM of a vehicle , I have tried a couple of times to see if it can be done but no

The usual problem is tyre load rating, ie if the vehicle GVM is 3200kg, the tyres must be at least that ie 800kg each

Smaller sizes are not available with the right load ratings so then can't be certed

Oem wheels generally don't have load ratings on them so we have to go off whatever the gvm was on the donor vehicle

or

if youd consider running 16" it opens up quite a few more oldschool styles like Lodio Drive's which come up fairly cheap

can always "fill the guard" with some tyres with a sexy sidewall

I had the same issue with the side mount kits, they mount far too low, had to make a new backing plate in the end and lift the whole lot up.

As for your hose, personally I would be nervous being so short, there's just no give for engine mount flex, even though its right next to the mount, I feel you need to try give it some more bend.

Last thing you need is the hose pulling out and lunching a new motor.

If it take it straight out, I just can’t get enough flex from a hose to make that 90 degree turn.

im out of ideas really.

what about a straight off the front cover and cooler, with a 90 degree hose fitting to make the turn in front of the alternator? Not what I’d like to see but yeah, out of ideas
