RUNAMUCK Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 The thing which leaps out at me about this build is, with the unaffordability of old rotor shit, that nose cone must have cost a kings ransom? 3 Quote

Yes sir, dont tell the mrs. It was a 4k kit right there. It took some courage to put the drill and grinder to it. Mind you i only cut a small puece off it that isnt seen. And used a couple of self tappers to pin the 2 halves together for now. So shes pretty much ad it was. That was my goal for this one...do it better incase it gets damaged. Ill get some fibreglass moulds made of the finished guards too. 3 Quote

RUNAMUCK Posted December 8, 2022 Author Posted December 8, 2022 Late last century I sold a wof'd, reg'd rx3 coupe running and driving with a 13b for $4850. Makes that nose cone seem kinda spendy........ 1 2 Quote

I bought and sold cars to pay for that build. Now i just sell my soul, and good paying customers 1 Quote

MRWEST Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Epic, cool to seeing it recreated, Think you might of messaged me about some guards last night on FB! I remember 14 year old me seeing this on the net when i had a ute the same as a paddock basher haha. Quote
MACKAZ Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Pretty sure I remember the OG up here while back. Quote
shizzl Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Only the oldies will remember back that far now.. actually hard to believe its been 21 years of so Quote
maxted Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 this is awesome, look forward to seeing it finished. Quote
d.p.n.s Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 awesome work man... I can't wait for this uterus..... how's the old ass muscles working cutting into rx3 parts.. Quote
shizzl Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Yeah its a bit puckering, but hell, if i screw up the rx3 guards, i have leads on many others. The b1600 guards are actually harder to find now. Wouldnt mind trying to find an 83 b2000 bonnet to cut up..save this good 78 model for someone else 2 Quote

Totally...would love to put in a rx3 dash.. cherry on top. I do know that the gear shift surround fits the factory mount, i can run a rx3 console if i go bucket seats too. 1 Quote
