Sounds like we are on a similar buzz with what we like and retaining original feel, really look forward to seeing it come together Cheers! Been following your build closely, what a sweet deal you got on that radiator! Looks like your car is really taking shape and its awesome to see. The originality stands out to me, just a personal preference to see everything "as it was" in a car, but with a twist. My goal is to go for performance engine/engine bay that looks like it was done back in the mid 70s. 1 Quote
RUNAMUCK Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I was getting ready to drop a sad react when I saw thw black engine bay pic. But I was relieved that was only primer. (Black engine bays make me sad/just mopar things) I think the cure for that low compression can be found here, Turbos and Components – Richard Holdener Performance https://share.google/8aQse9qbQ3j4ntrIM (Lololololololol) 1 Quote

I had black epoxy on hand and decided to skip the primer surfacer / 50 million hours of extra hand sanding stage because I was becoming lazy impatient, but justified this move by telling myself that the result would be a more OEM finish by leaving some factory features in like paint runs and weld splatter etc. I'm still pretty stoked with how it turned out! A turbo big block certainly sounds exciting, never say never... 1 1 Quote
