engineless
With those jobs sorted and ticked off i wanted to address something that has always annoyed me and that was the bonnet stay. I have an s14/15 rad so cant use the factory one and got tired of a bonnet stick so ordered some gas struts from aliexpress that dont quite work but work enough that theyre still on there Also swapped the diff to a different ratio to try get better fuel economy as cruising. Turns out it was a waste of time because it only dropped like 300 rpm but whatever. Also changed out lower arm bushes as they squeak like anything. Again wasnt these that is squeaking and must be one of the rosejoints in the adjustable arms or the bushes in the knuckle and not a job i want to tackle at the moment. New diff also meant pulling apart the speedo to recalibrate it. Now reads bang on! New garage ornaments Also installed a 140 amp alternator with relocation bracket.
engineless
Got back to work after lockdown and wasnt happy with the damage to the rad support and i reckon this is why the front end isnt aligned properly so ordered this Its actually for a 180sx but will work as theyre essentially the same thing. Also got a bare battery tray section so once i man up and decide what i want to do colour wise with the bay ill get all that swapped over. At easter this year we finally managed to buy our own home but have gone from a big double to a small single garage so space is now at a premium. At least its our but means big jobs are off the cards for a while. One thing I have managed to do though is get the rocker cover done again May not be to everyones taste but damn im in love with it! Have always love the lowrider style paint work and stoked i have been able to get it onto the car. Last but not least, made another purchase... Only a pair but are made by Zone. I have zero info on these but they are 15 and if they were a bigger size would have sworn blue they were autostrada modenas. If anyone has any clue on them please please lemme know!

kyteler
Fuck yeah, pigs butt Laurel's are something else. I saw one in person on my Japan tour. So killer. I mean they're basically a 110 drivetrain wise but a little tougher looking front to back. I have a 110 Kenmeri that's a many, many , many years project. Then a week later was selected by Nissan NZ to display on their stand at Leadfoot 2017. Was a pretty proud moment for both. Around this time it developed an exhaust leak so figured it was the right time to install my new manifold and cams. The Manifold went on without a hitch, however when I went to put the cams in, I thought I would be super onto it and torque the cam caps down. Turns out this is a dumb idea as the only need a 1/4 to nip them up, and I managed to strip a thread and snap a bolt. Kicked myself for it at the time but got it sorted. Once the cams were in it never really ran right so after a few weeks i put the factory ones back in. Turns out the issue was with me reinstalling the CAS at the wrong marks. Dang! Few more pics of the paint process... At least the inside of the motor is clean, this is what oil changes every 6 months looks like. On display at 4nR, stupidly this was the only pic i took. First leadfoot weekend and it was a stunner. Such a good event and a shame to see it cancelled again this year. continued to take pictures of the car. Picked up a pair of single piece Work Equip 01 and fell in love. While hunting for some more I tried out some longchamps Sold the longchamps and went back to MK3s for Leadfoot 2018 Few more beauties Managed to leave the handbrake off one day and did this So off came the bumper Loves reading the build story mate! Hey what is the paint code for the silver is it the factory 1k4? If you could let me know that would be great, cheers
