johnnyfive
Te Araroa at the end of day 2 delivers though if you can get into the RSA. Has a sports club also
johnnyfive
Should probably talk about contingency and attendance through the different covid levels too, thoughts?

Mop Head
For all those wondering about road access, the CT125 wheelie champ, Dan has been out to Waikaremoana in the last week with no issues. Not exactly on the route this year but hopefully that bodes well for access to the rest of the cape.
anglia4
Yeah, very worried that covid is gonna stuff this up. Fingers crossed!

johnnyfive
Just refreshing myself with the restrictions as they sit currently. So level 1 obviously great, lets go. Level 2, proceed with caution. Levels 3 & 4, yeah / nah. Its possible that some of us are able to carry on, and others will be stuck in their regions. I'll probably still try and get out there, even if its just the Bay of Plenty and Gisborne in level 2 alone (unlikely), but we could end up missing quite a few people, unfortunate. I guess we just wait and see how the next couple weeks pan out
anglia4
Yeah, wait and see I reckon. At present the 4 of us from Taranaki will still be going, it will just add ~2 hours each way of driving to get around the boundary. So much can change between now and then. johnnyfive
Yeah I figure accommodation and possibly travel arrangements are about the only things that people will have to worry about cancelling etc so it's not like any one person is going to be lumped with a burden cost etc

I don't think Ruatoria has any similar establishments open either for day 2. And there's not much on day one except Motu cafe and Matawai grease shack. How about a wee back track to the Te Puia springs pub? (Not actually sure how far that is from this years route tbh)

64valiant
Man I really don't like the odds for those that want to attend from the likes of Auckland and even waikato with all this covid going on. I just wanted to ride my scooter with friends.

Mop Head
I hope Waikato/Auckland can come. But also the TGA crew is down as long as it’s level 2. Even if it just ends up being a smaller group. We plan to come unless we can’t etc etc.
