Put back in with new tie rod ends and have no photos of any of it sorry ..........

Popular Post CPR Sierra
Well not much to report can drive it up and down the rd the kjet fuel injection isn’t running to good leans out when you get to 3500rpm or it’s sucking air from some where , now I’ve just got to work out is it worth spending money on an old Fuel injection or not?? Any way been working on getting front bumper on and lights in bumper mounted managed to put plates on which makes it look more ready for the rd . I managed to make up some templates for the side glass and sent them away to Auckland to get made will be interested to see how they come out as they can only bend glass one way and I probably need 2 ways but the guy I’m dealing with said if I go on the diagonal I should be able to get glass to bend both ways……. So I made my template like this out of 4mm mdf sorry no pics of that but I can show confirmation pic from them anyway I’m hoping to take this for a wof in spring sometime if I can get the time to work on it.

CPR Sierra
Well it’s been a couple of months I’ve been chasing some wiring gremlins currently have the bottom of dash all pulled out ,I had the car running during lock down and found I couldn’t turn it off , I could turn ignition off and pull key out and it would still run which is not good . i still haven’t found the problem but I think it has something to do with the burnt out blinker stem which is connected to the hazard lights which continually go all the time now even when key is out …so on the lookout for mk1 Sierra blinker unit. I’ve put small bits and pieces back on like left wing mirror guard blinker light foot panels , rear wiper motor and electric aerial etc nothing exciting, but still things adding to get it on the road again. ive taken advantage of COVID and got the car registered with out having a WOF …. Thanks Jacinda

Popular Post CPR Sierra
Also have pulled out and learnt heaps about k-jetronic fuel injection also thanks to @kwsvery thorough description on his tvr which had the same fuel engine as my sierra I was able to take out and rebuild the warm up regulator and fuel distributor with new kits I brought off eBay. It didn’t go with out its problems but after lots of mucking around and getting frustrated it is now running better I replaced injectors with new as of what @kws did to his and also brought a fuel pressure tester as he did . He writes such a descriptive article on it that if you want to know more please look up his kws TVR build. Anyway some pics
Popular Post CPR Sierra
Well a lot has happened with me on this car in the last couple of months I realized that it was fast approaching 3 years since I brought it and I didn’t want it to turn into a project never finished so I made a plan I was going to finish it by Christmas so I could drive it over the holidays. so I worked out I had about 2 hours of putting the rest of the-interior in and cleaning interior also the rear side windows needed fitting and rubber and then I had the dreaded Wof to take it for!!! soooo got interior done tick … no pics now the side rear windows well I got glass ones made along time ago but they couldn’t bend the glass two ways so by the time I spent a small fortune and after they arrived they just weren’t going to work. So after contacting a local plastic company here in Nelson I made another jig and had them made out of plexi glass and with my jig were able to heat and mold them they came out ok but not perfect but they will do as I had no other option. i went about fitting them myself after talking to a few people in the know ,got some new rubber from a local glass shop which worked ok once glass was fitted the car was looking much better. 10
